Maybe they can finally explain why the "Command" in M.A.S.K. is spelled with a "K".

Honestly, the only way I'd buy this nonsense is if they got the guys who wrote the Joe, Rom and Micronauts comics for Marvel to be the universe runners.

I don't think Mantlo is available any longer.

And "M.A.S.C." doesn't look as stupid as "Kommand", at least to me. YMMV.

Oh no, they're both equally stupid looking, but M.A.S.K. is the brand, while "Kommand" is just a misspelled word no one will pay attention to.

You know, I can see that being written in as a joke scene: Matt Trakker or someone boldly calling out what his logo stands for but making it up as he goes: "MOBILE!!" "ARMORED!!" "STRIKE!!" -- except when he gets to "K" he realizes he screwed up, and hesitates. Finally he mumbles "Kommand" in a little tiny voice. Not sure if this would be funnier with other characters around, or if he's by himself.

What really gets me about this is...Visionaries? Why?

You got three sci-fi elements - Rom, Micronauts and M.A.S.K. - and you got GI Joe, which is military fiction with more than a few sci-fi elements of its own.

And then...a bunch of guys running around with protest signs with pictures on em going "By winding road and blowing gale with blinding speed o'er land I sail!" How in the hell does that fit with the rest?

To me, Michael Bay's Transformers movies are almost GI Joe & Transformers movie, with all the military scenes in them. All they had to do is change a few names & characters, make the military more of the main characters, and reduce Shia Labeouf.
