I assume the Thawn we saw in prison, is from the future, more specifically, from Nora's time after the Crisis. He's the Thawn that convinced Nora to go back in time to see Barry.
Was Thawne wearing old man make up even a little bit?
Or does the face switching tech keep him (superficially) young?
Do speedsters age normally, or at all?
It couldn't be that simple?
If Nora is Nora, and if it's not all lies, she needed her speed turned off to mature normally, and not be an immortal baby her entire life.

When Nora visits Thawne in prison, the screen says 2049.
I meant his personal timeline given that we’ve seen him get erased.
So apparently the Shipp thing was known in the Batwoman thread that I haven't been following (and thus was a surprise to me), but geez, nobody feels it's even worth mentioning here?

It was also shown at the end of Arrow and Supergirl.
That scene was also shown attached to this week's Supergirl and Arrow, so it's been pretty much discussed out. That said, yeah, it's a pretty cool scene isn't it?

Maybe he's already her father/grandfather/great grandfather/etc in law, since one of Barry's kids in the comics did marry one of Thawne's family to produce Bart Allen, I think.
Eobard was born in 2151, 15 years before Vandal Savage conquers the globe and... He's not from that far up stream. The Chain Lightning comics were about a thousand years of Thawns, not a lonely hundred. Impulse's mum is Melody Thawn, who boffed Don Allen.

90s Flash was my first exposure to superheroes and why I got my first comic ever. It has made me so happy to see him again.
Well, IMHO it should be sinister, but not on Wells part. We know Sherloque suspects, Nora not acting independently because he asked her if someone put her up to it. Now he finds her using code in her diary and since that code is known from Barry from last year her assertion, that she made it up is very likely a lie since no obvious connection from Barry trapped in the speedforce to Nora exists. So Sherloque sounds sinister, because he suspects some sort of foul play.
I am glad some people were surprised by John Wesley Shipp’s appearance. I knew it was coming but did not expect it to air first on Supergirl at all. Tom Cavanagh has been revealed as the director of that tease so it was shot with the rest of the 100th episode.
Yeah, that was talked about in an interview that was published right after the Supergirl episode aired on Sunday -- that it was originally meant to be for the Flash episode, but they decided to run it as a tag on all three shows for the benefit of people who didn't watch them all.
Further proof is that the Flash episode credited John Wesley Shipp and LaMonica Garrett (the Monitor) as guest stars while the other two episodes didn't.
