Spoilers The Flash - Season 5

1 Superman-Everyone likes the guy they got and now is a good time to do him since the movies aren't using him which is a rare opportunity for CW.

I think they would need a different writing team to do that right. No one from Supergirl should work on a Superman show. I'd love a Superman show, but I don't trust CW with the character at this point.

3 Legends of Tomorrow=The comedy show.

I think the show has lost a step since it came back from hiatus. This second part of the season for me hasn't been so strong. Honestly, I think Constantine has hurt the show. The only thing about Constantine that I like is that whenever he tries to smoke, someone always stops him. That's a funny gag.

The show also seems to forget that several people on this show have powers and abilities. It's almost like their budget was cut.

4 Flash=With Nora now as the star and set in the future.

Not for me. That would wreak of more CW political correctness, and I don't think Nora is that strong of a character. Barry is the Flash. I'd like to see more of him, and less of his supporting cast.

5 Bat Woman=Not sure if I am impressed with the actor in terms of acting ability but I do know she can kick but and thus I think the show will at least be a very good action show.

Maybe, but this feels like a show CW just wants to do because it's a female Batman type. I'll try to give it a chance, but I'm not all that interested in Batwoman. If they wanted a female lead, I would rather see a Barbara Gordon show, or even better Wonder Woman. Of course, I doubt they will get Wonder Woman. But maybe they could do a show with Donna Troy. Or maybe something with Fire and Ice.

Meh...so what. It was a valid question, one he didn't even respond to. His username and the avatar is irrelevant, I wasn't going to assume Eobard Thawne was the only speedster wearing a yellow suit....

I didn't respond because @Snaploud answered your question. Should I have just repeated the information?

 okay

Lot of folks still respond to queries or comments, even if someone else made a reply. No biggie either way.

I forgot about the Professor Zoom=Eobard Thawne, as I read about it somewhere a while back though I didn't do the comics that much.

I thought the episode was good, but every time they went to Caitlin's storyline I wanted them to go back to what Nora was up to. Also, Caitlin's dad's death couldn't get more telegraphed if they tried. So predictable. The argument between Iris and Berry was the best part of the episode, and that was the cold open.

John Who?? This guy here is the bomb!

I didn't see it coming at all. I'm not even sure how it was physically possible for him to get there that fast after having left the room. He's a freezer, not a speedster.

The big goodbye sequence didn’t do it for you. It did for me, unfortunately.

Uhh, wasn't the big goodbye sequence after he was mortally wounded? What came before that was the big "Oh, I've defeated Icicle and we're together as a family again" sequence. Which I suppose should've tipped me off that something bad would happen, but this is The Flash, not Arrow, so I guess I was open to expecting a happy ending.

Yeah I meant that sequence. He leaves, then Cicada II comes in to save Frost and then we had the goodbye sequence. I kinda cringed a little when Cicada II showed up.

I think I knew the dad was going to die because Kyle Secor is a to high profile and experienced actor to where if he was going to stay we would kind of know it before the episode airs.

To me he's just someone I've vaguely heard of.

Anyway, I remember hearing a rumor a few months ago that the season was supposed to have three arcs, that after Cicada we'd get an Icicle arc and finally a Weather Wizard arc. Clearly it hasn't played out that way, but I guess I was still subconsciously expecting more than two Icicle episodes.

I honestly don’t think Eobard is manipulating Nora. Maybe he’s just having last minute remorse because he’s about to be executed, and just wants to do some good for once. He’s basically repenting.

Also might remind him of mentoring Barry.

He was also trying to help Iris with Nora at the end there as well.

If Thawne is not manipulating Nora then why show us his lightning returning when Nora got angry--or was that supposed to have been Nora's feet we saw?

I think Thawne is manipulating her and in fact that is why he looks like Harrison Wells. It's easy to make people like you if aren't wearing the face of a killer. Granted there wear other reasons but Thawne was manipulating Barry in season 1 also while looking like Harrison Wells.

Just watched the latest episodes.

One thing I'd like to ask. Have they considered how stopping Cicada in 2019 would affect history regarding how they had Thawne on death row 30 years later.?? They didn't seem to be concerned. They still haven't addressed how adult Grace travelled back in time, and from when? She's not necessarily from Nora's time.

I'm starting to suspect Nora is a time remnant by as she wouldn't recognize 2049 now.

Is that Dwyer a time remnant as well....?

There are no parallel timelines.

The past changes, then the future changes, and then the memories of time travellers in the past change to reflect the new future history that they didn't come from.

Every time, minutes to hours later, after their actions in the "past" have cemented, a time traveler is eventually unaware that the future was anything other than what it is now.

Nora now (should?) believe that Cicada II has always been in her future, and that they were not blind sided by her arrival.

Also...

For a couple weeks now I have been thinking that that's Sherloque in Thawn's cell in the future.

I'm so glad Joe's back. The Joe-wisdom scenes are consistently among the best scenes in the show lately. This was a pretty effective one overall, with themes of family conflict and forgiveness running through it.

It seemed to resolve a bit easily, though. I thought that Nora was being corrupted by the Negative Speed Force -- and that maybe that could lead to a redemption story for Thawne, if it turned out that his evil was a curable effect of the NSF on his mind. But it turned out she was just keeping her "head in a skeevy place" or whatever she said in order to be able to use the NSF.

It's a shame Weather Witch is so evil, since she's rather lovely. And it seemed there was some attraction between her and Nora.
