Spoilers The Flash - Season 5

I think it's got to be accepted as a given now that Cisco isn't going to return next year. I have a feeling next year is going to be the shows last year but maybe them getting something like "Arrow" and a 10 episode goodbye season that follows.

Also am I the only person who thinks we will get a Nora spin-off at some point? I would be very much into that. Even more so than one involving the future kids on "Arrow" which I find to be kind of dull.

The announced he wasn't coming back months ago.

The Flash has higher ratings than Arrow. Next year will only be its 6th season and I would be surprised it would be the last. Arrow is wrapping its 7th and will have an abbreviated 8th.

Yes.

My opine, Nora is way too irritating to get her own series and they have way over done it with speedsters.

I think having Arrow end around the same time as The Crisis crossover event is definitely not serendipity. I'm hoping they'll use it to refresh things. Green Arrow and The Legends will be a casualties of The Crisis (erased), and hopefully Supergirl and Flash will be merged onto the same Earth.

Both Cisco and Caitlin are rumored to be leaving though I wish they could reach deals to exit during the Crisis crossover.

It'll be very interesting to see what they do with COIE--I would love to see some major changes for the better.

The biggest change I would love to see is for Diggle to join the GL Corps and really become John Stewart.

I even heard Ed Cavanaugh might be leaving. That would be a big blow as well. I actually like Nora alot. Even if she never gets her own show I would like her to return next year as a regular. I mean a cast with Flash,Iris,Nora,Wells,Cecille,Dibney,Joe and maybe someone from Arrow like Black Canary could be really good.

I thought about Diggle but I went with Black Canary because I wonder about a hero without superpowers and how would it feel like on this show full time. It makes sense on "Arrow" but maybe not "Flash."

I would also like to see Nora stick around as a regular. She will probably have to be a time remnant by that point, though, for it to make any sense storywise.

Or she could be just stuck in the past. I mean when she goes back it won't matter. She could spend 2 years i the past and return like 5 minutes before she ever left so it would be like she never left the future.

Given that we've just learned that John Diggle's stepfather's name is Stewart, and that the Flash of Earth-90 asked him where his ring was, I can think of an easy way for him to get superpowers.

Stewart is connected to the Green Lantern, am I right? The name sounded familiar but I wasn't sure what it means since I didn't read comics when I grew up.

Another random thought: Why did Ralph need to use that big cannon to open a time vortex for the sphere? Wouldn't the sphere have its own internal mechanism for doing that? If not, doesn't that make the sphere a big ball that does nothing if you need a separate way to time travel. Maybe I am just forgetting how the sphere worked in previous episode?

John Stewart is one of the Green Lanterns of Earth, the second modern one after Hal Jordan. He was sort of an also-ran character in the comics until the Justice League animated series chose to make him the Green Lantern in place of Jordan (so that there'd be some diversity in the cast), which made him the Green Lantern in the minds of a generation of fans, in part because the character was so effectively written by the show's staff and voiced by Phil LaMarr.

There's been a longstanding wish among some Arrow fans for John Diggle to turn out to be John Stewart, because he's a similar character and because it reflects the classic Green Lantern/Green Arrow partnership between Hal and Ollie in the '70s comics. And the Arrowverse producers love their fanservice, so they've given us these two nods essentially confirming that Diggle is the Earth-1 doppelganger of whatever John Stewarts exist on other Earths in the multiverse (in much the same way that John Wesley Shipp's Henry Allen and Jay Garrick were implied, and have now been confirmed, to be the doppelgangers of Shipp's Barry Allen from the 1990 TV series).

catching update with the past couple of eps and noticed in the ep where we learn Nora's story what might be the first Black Lighting reference in the other shows.

The laundry truck that Nora crashes into was "Gambi and Sons".

It’s also a Flash reference. Paul Gambi was a character in the comics who made costumes for the rogues.

I will do you one better, how did Iris and Ralph get back since they left the gun here?

Maybe the sphere on its own only has the power to open a time portal once (without special equipment for a recharge). The gun allowed them to save that charge for the trip back.

I still like my theory that Thawne feels paternal toward Nora because she only came into existence as a result of Thawne messing with the timeline.

Eobard Thawne was also known as Professor Zoom in the comics. I don't think he ever used the Zoom name in the current tv show, but you have to give a little latitude given that it's a poster called @Professor Zoom making those comments.
Meh...so what. It was a valid question, one he didn't even respond to. His username and the avatar is irrelevant, I wasn't going to assume Eobard Thawne was the only speedster wearing a yellow suit....

It may be a little too complicated on a low budget to do a John Stewart Green Lantern show, but I could see a Green Lantern as a supporting character, like Jonn on Supergirl.

I think Legends has run its course too. I'm hoping that COIE also does some work on Ray Palmer. The show kind of portrays him as a buffoon, and they tend to forget he's almost as smart as Lex Luthor. One of the smartest men in the world, and the friggin Atom.

They have changed Ray Palmer but at the same time I kind of like the new take and I think it fits the show he is on. I thought want more "Legends." It's my favorite show of them all. In 3 years I wouldn't mind if the CW Arrowverse lineup was;

1 Superman-Everyone likes the guy they got and now is a good time to do him since the movies aren't using him which is a rare opportinuity for CW.

2 Black Lighting. Very good show with lots of life in it.

3 Legends of Tomorrow=The comedy show.

4 Flash=With Nora now as the star and set in the future.

5 Bat Woman=Not sure if I am impressed with the actor in terms of acting ability but I do know she can kick but and thus I think the show will at least be a very good action show.

Then once awhile have a limited Justice League show were you bring back The Flash,Green Arrow,Supergirl etc. Kind of like what "The Defenders" was suppose to be on Netflix only don't botch that idea for these characters.
