All these shows have the same executive producer. Anytime we had crossovers in the past the writers on each show work together. When Barry appears on Arrow now they work with his shows own writers on what they can do.

Except I don't know that that is necessarily the case in the Berlantiverse anymore. According to this article on TVLine, Wentworth Miller has signed a cross series contract that contracts him to all of the Berlanti shows at once so that he can pop up anywhere.
Others have already commented on Wentworth Miller, so I'll point out an example of this very kind of cross-show coordination happening just this week, with Quentin Lance. Partway through Wednesday's Arrow episode, Team Arrow left Quentin sitting at the computers in the Arrowcave to monitor the situation in the city, and that was the last we saw of him in that episode. Then, early in Legends of Tomorrow the following day, we saw Sara come into the Arrowcave and Quentin was sitting in exactly the same spot, whereupon he was finally able to tell Sara about Laurel's death. Implicitly, the two scenes happened within a couple of hours of each other, if that, and it's a clear case of a story thread from one show being continued on another.
Had a thought...could there be a plan behind letting McGee into the inner circle this past episode? Perhaps they have plans for Wells that would involve Tina taking over as the big brain on Team Flash?
Also, Mercury Labs was leveled to the ground by Black Siren. Where are she and all her employees going to work? STAR Labs is huge but only has 3 people working in it.
Tom Cavanagh was listed in the cast for season 3. So he is still going to be around. But there is no reason Amanda Pays could not have a strong reoccuring role working at STAR. Have her be an administrator who oversees the whole business. Who seen in episodes when needed.
It has always bothered me that this show feels like a very small world. STAR Labs barely has anyone working there. Team Flash barely interacts with anyone but the villains of the week. Joe and Barry work for the Police but we rarely see their coworkers.
On the 1990 series, a in single season it built a great group of reoccuring supporting characters. From Barry's coworkers at Police Department, to his criminal infomant, and the local tv news anchor. It fleshed out Central City better.
Even though Star Labs scenes mostly consited of just Barry talking to Tina. It was clear that she was just one of many employees. I hope the show moves in that direction. Really Mercury Labs is closer to how Star Labs has always been portrayed in the comics and in other media appearances. It seems to have been created as a substitute because secretly the Reverse Flash was really in control of Star on the show.
It would seem that now that there is a good Wells and Mecury is gone, that him and Tina would work together. It was strongly implied last year that in the original timeline Tina and Wells did work at Star Labs together. It was only Thawne replacing him and distancing himself from her, that lead Tina to create Mercury.
True. But the 90s Flash was older, already established with a social network. The new Flash is young, and portrayed as a socially awkward individual up to that night he became the Flash. We never see one of his old buddies.... Cisco and Caitlin appears to be his only friends.
I loved this episode. The big fight against the Metas in the beginning was cool.
I loved TIna McGee figuring out who Barry is on her own, it's amazing how many characters in the Arrowverse aren't idiots. I really hope she sticks around as a member of Team Flash next season.

Cisco and Caitlin pretending to be their doppelgangers was very funny.
I was pretty shocked we didn't get any kind of hint to Jessie or Wally developing powers. I am curious to see exactly where they are going with Wally. I like him trying to be a hero even without powers, and him saving The Flash was a cool moment. I really hope he actually does figure out Barry is the Flash and that they don't make some excuse to keep him from figuring it out.
I haven't seen the '90s Flash, but I'm still familiar enough with John Wesley Shipp and Amanda Pays history that I got a big kick out of seeing them together.
I was pretty shocked by Henry's death, but I'm not going to rule out him surviving or being resurrected somehow. The only way I could see him staying dead is if the Man in the Mask is the real Jay Garrik played by John Wesley Shipp.

Black Siren was a Metahuman, so the choker was just a regular piece of jewelry. If you look it was pretty clearly just material with a pearl or something in the center, so taking it off wouldn't have made a difference. She was working for Zoom, and it's been made clear that all of Zoom's lieutenants are Metas, so it wouldn't make sense for her to not be. The effect was also totally different from what we see when Laurel 1 used the sonic device.

I've been having a similar thought. With McGee now in the know, and a whole bunch of Mercury Labs employees with no where to work, it would make sense to just bring them over to STAR Labs.

As has been pointed out by others, Wally saw Barry run out of the house at super speed at the end ofmthe episode. He clearly had a look of surprise. So he does now know Barry is the Flash.
I can understand how some missed seeing that. I did myself on first viewing! I think because things moved so quickly. Also I was more shocked by Henry's death to think about how Wally reacted before that.

That's not unusual. Labs aren't necessarily hustling bustling places. They can be deserted with people working alone, with no one else in the hallways or anywhere else in sight.
I'm wondering where Hartley is? At the end of Flash Back it seemed like Hartley now worked regularly with the team but we haven't seen him since.
Regarding Black Siren who was clearly a metahuman, this seems like the perfect opportunity to bring back Black Canary in an origin similar to her silver age comics story. In Legends, we have the Justice Society coming. If they are from yet a different earth then there could easily be a version of Black Canary there.

Heck, a lot of us were expecting that a year ago -- that Tina would take over from Thawne-Wells as the head of STAR Labs. Instead, we got Martin Stein for a while and then Earth-2 Harry.
That, and Zoom clearly called Barry "Flash" in front of everyone.
But then another iteration of Hunter Zolomon would show up, look his way, hold up his hand, and shake his head 'no'.I had a crazy thought earlier today. The Flash would go back to E2 (is that breach they created a few weeks back still open) and time travel back to a time when Hunter was a kid and prevent his mother's murder. Boom! No Zoom

We saw Barry and Wally talking about him being the Flash, so obviously they're not going to be having Wally blow off what he saw.
I'm glad there's more to Zoom's plan than just a race, that seemed pretty small for a finale plot.

Is Star Labs an active concern? I got the impression the company was more or less defunct, with money only coming in from patents. And maybe not that much, as the building is still in a state of disrepair.
^ I was thinking of the other lab or any deserted lab we see in general.
The government should have shut down and closed off access to Star Labs after the Particle accelerator disaster. On top all the questionable activity since than. The mystery of Wells death, really Reverse Flash, and his confessing to killing Nora Allen should have created greater scrutiny. It's not like Earth 2 Wells can ever pass himself as his still alive counterpart to the public.
I think Tina buying out what remains of Star Labs, even just for public relations, is the only thing that would lead credibility to it be allowed to operate.

Why not? We've just had a very public mass invasion of metahumans from Earth-2. The authorities are going to want answers about that, so the existence of Earth-2 might become public knowledge.

On the contrary -- it's fantasy that demands a realistic approach the most, to balance out its incredible aspects and facilitate suspension of disbelief. And even a fantasy world should make sense by its own internal logic.
You misunderstood what I meant about Earth 2's Harrison Wells presence on Earth 1. What I meant is if the tried to pass himself of as the dead Wells he should b arrested. For the murder of Nora Allen.

It might depend on how Star Labs was formed. It's possible that Barry is more of a trustee than an owner. Though, even if Star Labs is strictly private property: a judge might be inclined to let Barry keep it all as restitution for the murder of Barry's mother. Others would have lesser claims (legally speaking, based upon what information was available to them), and it's possible that Eobard took care of all those claimants (legally or not) prior to being wiped from existence (at least, in respect to the first particle accelerator explosion).
The finale is supposed to be 30 seconds longer than normal. You may want to set your DVR to end later. I usually set to end 3 minutes longer because sometimes the previews are cut off if do not. It's longer than I need but there is never an issue when something like this happens either.
