Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

If Kendra really has been reincarnated continuously since Ancient Egypt was picking on Moses, Cisco should light up like a Christmas tree when he kisses her at the end of their third date.

Maybe there's some similarity between Darkmatter and Nth Metal?

Hmmmm?

"I just got into town recently"

She's from Earth 2?

Highly unlikely. Remember she had a brief appearance in last season's finale. She was looking up at the sky when the singularity appeared.

So here comment about "recently" new to town slightly surprised me. Considering that event was what, about 6 months ago even in the show's time line. Though I guess that could be considered recent if that was when she arrived right before that.

Her cameo than was a last minute addition. A network executive wrongly assumed it was planned for her to appear in the finale. When one of the producers read it in an interview he thought wasa great idea. So they added her in.

Maybe her Earth-2 counterpart had just switched places with the Earth-1 version between scenes, hence her change in attitude towards Cisco?

Upon further thought, I think we have some potential setup for Zoom being Earth-2's Barry. First, Wells making a big deal about how Barry is faster than Jay ever was...while it's established that Zoom wants to be the fastest there is. Second, we now have a pattern of Earth-2 villains wanting to kill their Earth-1 counterparts.

It seemed pretty irrational to be angry at Earth 2 Wells for something Eobard Thawne did.

I thought so too.

As abrasive as he is, and he did expose Cisco as a meta, Earth-2 Wells is determined to work with the team to defeat Zoom (and free his daughter).

I think it's more complicated than that. I think he's secretly working for Zoom because his daughter is being held hostage.

Maybe she was visiting Central City prior to moving there, perhaps scouting for a new job/apartment before her move. Or maybe she was just there for a visit and then decided to move there because of it -- though you'd think that having a singularity almost swallow the city while she was visiting would've scared her off of moving there.

Yup. Fits with the pattern we've seen too. Shame because even though he's an abrasive ass it might've been interesting to see him on the good side regardless.

I like the idea of Zoom being E2 Barry, though if that means at some point we lose Tony Todd voicing him then... boo.

Less than pleased at Jay metaphorically jobbing for Barry, buuuut if I'm right then maybe he comes back later when it's revealed that E2 Wells is working for Zoom.

More convinced than ever that Killer Frost will be from Earth 2.

The opening scene where Wells-2 revealed his metahuman-detector watches gave me an "oh no, not again" feeling, because they just used almost exactly the same plot device (pun intended) in Heroes Reborn a few weeks ago, with the evil corporation marketing glasses that detect "Evos."

And one of Jay's best friends is from Atlantis. Outrageous!

Oh yeah...was that Atlantis reference to anyone in particular? I assume not Aquaman since this version of Atlantis is on the surface.

That I know of there never has been a modern day Atlantis above water in any of the various DC Earths in the multiverse. Though there was I think a storyline in which Aquaman's Atlantis rose to the surface.

A dome filled with water was brought to the surface in the Peter David era, when they were trying to inspire tourism and trade to... Do they mention Atlantis much in the Legion of Superheroes/31st century?

Reprinting tales of the 30th century's supreme team of adventurers, LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ARCHIVES VOL. 4 is a historical look at the exploits of tomorrow's greatest heroes. This classic book of 1960s tales features the loss of Lighting Lad's right arm in battle, the Legion's participation in the Atlantis-Krypton War, a destructive attack on the seven wonders of the 30th century, Brainiac 5's election to leader of the Legion, Lana Lang's first appearance as the Insect Queen, the addition of Dynamo Boy to the Legion, a galaxywide infestation by a swarm of Bizarros, and the final showdown with the Time Trapper.

I don't remember the specifics of that Legion story offhand.

I was wondering if there was a latter-day JSAer with an Atlantis connection that I wouldn't know about. I know that Power Girl had a post-crisis origin in which she hailed from ancient Atlantis, but I was under the impression that it had fallen out of continuity and out of favor, so why reference it?

But maybe Jay's mention was just supposed to be a kooky reference with no connection to the comics.

Another potential indicator that Zoom is Earth-2 Barry....Wells is definitely giving the impression that he knows more about Zoom's nature and origins than he's sharing...and he's very fixated on Barry being the only one fast enough to stop Zoom, and to that end is encouraging Barry to realize the full potential of his speed. Could be that he knows that Zoom is Barry's counterpart, and thus reasons that only Barry has the potential to beat Zoom.

No worries. :)

They said "faster than light" again.

Zoom is wearing a version of Barry's Earth I uniform, when if he is an Earth II counterpart to Jay, he should be wearing a counteruniform of Jay's suit.

Unless Cicso designed Barry's suit are based on subliminal ponderings about Zoom?

If Zoom "stole" Barry's suit (design) then he is stalking Barry and any confilct is Jay is because he was in between Zoom and the Earth I Flash.

If Barry "Stole" Zoom's suit (design) then he's rightly earned the asskicking that's coming to him.

Although, if Eobard Thawn showed up on Earth II, it could be the Reverse Flash's supersuit hat Zoom is mimicking... Or "wearing". Either because Zoom took it from Eobards corpse, or Zoom still is and always has been Eobard Thawn, albeit from Earth II's future maybe?

Note how The Reverse Flash's uniform was partially blackened/scorched/sooty with filth that wouldn't clean off, or Thawn couldn't be bothered to clean off.

Partially blackened is on the road to totally blackened.

Do we know what colour Speed-trail/lightning Zoom has?

(Jay's (lightning) is Blue right? (Blue Jay. Shit. That's not funny.))

Faster than *cough*Dr.*cough* Light.

I thought I saw a blue lightning effect on Zoom last night.

Except that here the app was written by Anton Chekov. ;)
