Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

I know, I said that. I'm trying to figure out if/when everyone, or at least other team members, found out Barry wasn't the hero after all - or is what really happened still only known by Barry?

It seemed pretty clear that the team knew what happened. There's no reason Barry or Stein would hide it from them. As for why they didn't tell the general public, maybe there are reasons to keep Firestorm's sacrifice a secret, especially considering that half of Firestorm is still alive. It might prove difficult to explain what happened without jeopardizing some secret identities.

Besides, it was a team effort. Firestorm wouldn't have been able to shut down the singularity if the Flash hadn't stabilized it first. Barry may not consider himself worthy of the praise, but he did contribute to the solution. (Leaving aside the fact that it was his decision to time-travel that caused the singularity in the first place. But I think that was implicitly acknowledged in the lines about everyone involved having made choices that day and having to live with them.)

I'm guessing Barry has already told everyone at least the broad strokes of his belief that he wasn't the hero that day. They AREN'T talking about it because they already know.

Moreover, his guilt is perhaps overplayed, but in his mind it's certainly well-deserved. After all, if you look at last year's finale and the immediate consequences, we see that the payoff for his selfish decision to (not) alter time was huge. He goes back intent on saving his mom, but instead watches her die. Then he comes back, and literally within minutes Eddie's dead, Ronnie's dead, and the City is trashed with who knows how many casualties.

Sure, he saved the WORLD, but the whole thing branches from that one decision to try to save one person who was already dead. The ultimate payoff was springing his dad, but methinks time travel won't cross his mind all too often from now on. :)

I also think it is pretty clear that the other team members, including Caitlin, believe that Barry is a hero worthy of the attention that has been given to him. Ronny might be an unsung hero given that it was a team effort but Caitlin certainly hasn't taken anything away from what Barry did. At one point Barry is even told that everyone had a role to play in the decisions that led to the formation of the wormhole and he shouldn't be trying to take all the blame of the consequences upon himself.

The entire theme of the episode is that Barry is truly a hero, even if he doesn't really feel that way at the moment.

Thanks. I must have dozed off.

Please, carry on.

On some level it must be frustrating. But its also publicity. Early during the 1st season Geoff Johns said he did not mind photos of them filming on location because it built excitement for the show.

The location photos by the press and fans have given away much more than Hamill's return. We saw the first pictures of the Reverse Flash, Roy Harper surrendering to the police dressed as Arrow. More than I can remember.

Stephen Amell said the reason his first picture in costume was released so quickly, and with a lot of inspection before was because of the negative reactions to location pictures for that Wonder Woman pilot that never was picked up.

The Flash, The Atom, Supergirl, Hawkgirl and Hawkman all have had official costume pictures released before location filming began. You never really that before these types of leaked images could be so easily circulated online.

I thought that the problem with Wonder Woman was that they made her an Alcoholic?

Four scenes, on four different nights where she's finishing off a bottle of wine googling herself on the internet and crying about how no one likes her for the person she really is deep down.

It was just a mess.

PS

Carey Elwes with an American accent is like Clooney acting with a paper bag on his head.

Actually our first look at the Adrienne Palicki Wonder Woman costume was an officially released costume photo, revealed on Entertainment Weekly on March 18, 2011. The reactions to that official photo were strongly negative. It was twelve days later that we saw the first set pictures, by which point the costume had been changed somewhat, with red boots instead of blue and less shiny trousers. I think the reactions to the set photos were a bit more positive.

The lines on that WW costume were just all wrong. It's like they were fighting to hide Adrienne's natural curves.

And the fact that the materials used made the whole thing look like a cheap Halloween costume didn't help either. That did not look like mystical armor forged by the god Hephestus himself. It looks like a bunch of PVC with some plastic birds glued on.
It's a bit embarrassing when amateur cosplayers can do a better job than the pros.

While we're on the subject, can't say I'm crazy about the Hawkgirl costume design either. A Thanagarian outfit that doesn't feature bare arms just feels wrong to me. It's kinda their thing. Kryptonians have capes, Tamaranians...don't wear much of anything and Thanagarians have bare arms. It'd be like a New Gods outfit without all the funky, Kirby zigzaggy jazz going on.

On the positive side, the Supergirl costume managed to strike just the right balance.

Who remembers that Erica Durance wore that exact same costume a year or two later on an episode of Harry's Law?

Superman 4.

They stole some of Kal-El's hair from a museum.

It was suspending a hundred pound weight as an exhibit.

So does Barry own Star Labs now?
Star Labs no doubt has a number of patents that it has licensed and receives royalties for. This would pay for property taxes, etc. When the lawyer said he was instructed to put it into receivership if Barry didn't watch the video, it meant that creditors would continue to go unpaid regardless of any income and assets would be sold to cover liabilities.

Any income would be enough to pay debts off over time but if bonds were called in due to default then the assets would be seized and sold.

^ And would you cut your hands if you ran them through too fast? Never thought of that before.

Go watch Chasing Amy, there some.. interesting.. discussion going on about superheroes, especially Superman

I am really excited by the sizzle reel and i think it's a very good step to expand the show to the multiverse and introduce other Flash's (even if Jay Garrick looks corny as hell with that soup pot with wings on his head). Season 1 was very good establishing the characters, creating an awesome villain and now the show blows itself wide open.

This ought to be a fantastic season, can't wait to see it.
