The Flash - Season 1

... And I hope we haven't seen the last of Eobard Thawne's original self (Matt Letscher), because that's Captain Harrison Love!! :bolian:

"Just one question... how would you like
your yellow costume displayed?!"

I'm a newbie to the forum, but just wanted to say this was my favorite show of the year. I never had any interest in Arrow, but The Flash grabbed me from episode 1, and never put me down. Can't wait for S2. :)

Welcome to the TrekBBS! I like both shows, but The Flash really embraced itself as a super-hero show right from the beginning. I really felt like watching comic book panels come to life while watching the show.

Barritlyn?? No ####ing way. No, no, no.

It's going to be fun enough seeing Firestorm reject Killer Frost.

"It's me Ronnie, sure I think it's funny to kill people now, but I'm still basically the same person."

Hmm?

Why am I wondering if her transformation has something to do with Captain Cold?

I'm watching The Duff which co-stars Firestorm. He's really funny in it and it's actually a very funny and clever movie.

The casting call has gone out for new love interest for Barry in season two.

It would seem that they are trying to re-create the dynamic and chemistry between Barry and Felicity.

TVLine has learned that for Season 2, the CW hit is casting the major recurring role of Wendy, a “spunky, fun and funny” romantic interest for one Barry Allen.

A cop for the Central City PD, Wendy is described as bright and scientific-minded — more specifically, “Think ‘Felicity Smoak’ from Arrow,” the casting call reads.

Between this and the way Kara Danvers is being portrayed, I'm seeing a pattern here. To borrow a metaphor from Joey Tribbiani, somebody needs to tell Berlanti that there's more than one flavor of ice cream....

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if Berlanti is just writing multiple versions of his old high school crush.

Joss Whedon was similar. Willow from Buffy, Fred from Angel, Kaylee from Firefly are all that type.

Well it is a personality that a lot of us nerds are attracted to---basically female nerds who are socially awkward but pretty.

They could at least vary the look a little more than they did with Kara...she's cute in her own right, but in context comes off as a Felicity impersonator.

I don't see the resemblance at all.

And since we're talking about Supergirl, I'm sure the fact that she wears glasses owes more to Clark Kent than to Felicity Smoak. (Although traditionally, in the comics, Kara disguised herself with a brown wig instead.)

Of course, but it's a happy coincidence for Berlanti that she's a quirky blonde girl with glasses.

I honestly don't know how anyone couldn't see the resemblance...it's not subtle.
