The Flash - Season 1

Wells reminds me of the version of Zoom that was actually trying to make Flash a better hero. My thinking is he's from the future where Flash has disappeared during the crisis mentioned in Wells newspaper, and he's come back to try and improve Barry so he'll be better equipped to handle said future crisis.

I think there are two RF's - Wells who in his own twisted way is trying to help Barry, and then Eobard Thawne, who is trying to destroy Barry.

Tina works for (owns?) a company called Mercury.

If Wells owned Star Labs and Mercury... That would mean that he was controlling both sides of the board which seems to out game theory Wargames. Nominating who takes a dive is just as good as not playing.

The fight was fixed.

Wells could be Max Mercury The Zen master of Speed?

If there's a company in play called Mercury, then Max Mercury The Zen master of Speed is definitely in play on some level.

I typed "eats speed force" into Google.

It spat back at me that the Reverse Flash employed negative speed force that "eats" regular speed force, perhaps in the same manner as the collision of matter and antimatter?

But if Wells is "eating" negative speedforce from the/a Reverse Flash's costume... You can't drink your own Pee, so this speed force effluence off the Reverse Flash is positive Speed force for Barry. Is he making a speed force Battery to super charge Barry at a latter point?

The Wells we know is pretty clearly from the future, so why would he be in touch with a separate future version of himself?

No, the Wells we know clearly has knowledge of the future. It is only conjecture that he is actually from the future. Maybe the reason he has future knowledge is because he was given it by his future self.

Yeah, for all we know he's a psycho from the present who found the future record, and now apparently a supersuit he can make appear (?) with the tachyon device. His long game involves making Barry into the hero he needs to be to defeat Reverso at some point, which includes murder, theft and for some reason pretending he's paraplegic.

As discussed earlier, tachyons = faster than light = travel back in time. My take is that he's already got superspeed, which he uses as the Reverse Flash, but he stole the tachyon device to enable him to boost his speed beyond the speed of light so that he can go back in time. And we've already seen some of the things he's done (or, from his perspective, will do) after going back in time.

True enough. I'm just wondering what the tachyon device has to do with making the suit appear. Is he summoning it from the future? And why?

Mark

The Reverse Flash suit was in a locked closet Wells opened/unlocked by pressing a Flash (costume storage) Ring against the closet's lock.

The tachyon device was either sucking Tachyons out of the Reverse Flash Suit (because the suit had just been used in the fight we just saw?), or pumping Tachyons into the Flash suit(because it was being made finally usable for the first time at a later date.).

Seriously, how is no one questioning why/how a speedster is using a nearly identical suit as the Flash, something Cisco designed and only has a few of them.

From their perspective, because they can't imagine that Time travel is possible...

The Reverse Flash has had a yellow version of Barry's Suit for at least 14 years.

Sisco's current age minus 14 = (give or take) 9 years old.

1. Sisco is Vandal savage. He's immortal and ####ing with every one. He's like Asimov's Mule. The last bastard you would suspect of being a master mind super villain.

2. Sisco "borrowed" the suit design from someone/where else. Maybe it was a deep sea diving suit like the Flash's costume in the 90s series. Are we sure that the design was specifically for the Flash and not reappropriated tech?

3. Sisco said that there were 3 suits in the episode that plastique destroyed one. Sisco may be able to design this suit, but he probably has to send away to 15 different factories to make and assemble the components. There's could be dozens of Flash suits across the world in various stages of construction.

4. Are there really only two people working there at Star Labs? Sisco and Caitlin. Sisco and Caitlin should be division heads with 80 people under them each. Is there a hundred and 60 people in another room answering to the Wonder Twins? Unless before Star Labs shit the bed, they were unpaid interns, and are still unpaid interns.

5. Did Multiplex really die? His power isn't exactly cloning since he seems to replicate the clothing he is wearing and maybe anything in his pockets (including money)... Was he replicating the guns in his hand every time he copied himself? If Multiplex is alive (In a cell under Star Labs) or they have figured out how to replicate his replication powers, Sisko/Wells could have built even "hundreds" of Flash suits at zero financial and resource cost. But surely dead is dead?

6. Sisco was given the Flash suits by the Reverse Flash and told to follow orders years before Sisco met Barry.

7. Sisco is the Reverse Flash.

8. The Reverse Flash has access to the Cities CCTV network and has been making sketches of the suit while erasing all recorded data of his adventures that the Task force might want to take advantage of...

9. The Reverse Flash is the janitor working at Star Labs and he borrows a Flash suit when the others are... A super hero can too be a janitor! Hong Kong ####ing Phooey! Oh, and Superboy for most of 2003. DC Comics thought it was funny because Superboy was a Super(intendant)... No, Hawkeye is not a Janitor/Super because although he is forced to plunge other people's toilets, he also owns the building he is doing this handywork in.

10. The US Government. It's a quick turn around but either Wade Eiling (The Army) or Amanda Waller (Argus) after seeing the Flash are going to want a response/solution to the Flash, and they will throw billions of dollars at batteries of scientists until they have one. They could track down the Reverse Flash who has been operating for the last fourteen years and then outfit him with kit they built after seeing Barry in action.

When Reverse Flash first spoke I wasn't watching the screen. But when I heard the voice my kneejerk reaction was that it sounded like Wells.

I heard that same voice at the end of the episode, when Wells attached the device to the suit.

Wells is Reverse Flash.

What Wells at the end said was "Merry Christmas."

He was giving a gift.

Tachyons move backwards through time because than are faster than light particles.

(Yo, it's science bitch!)

Supercharging the suit at this point in it's existence if it is a museum piece having already fought all it's battles, he is actually sending "speed force" into the suits past to where it's needed to fight the Flash.

We have been concentrating on how the effects of the blast that night has effected people, not necessarily how it effected the building. What or whom caused the cascading failures. Why is Wells rebuilding the building? He's not going to restart the reactor. What if parts of the building is out of phase with time?

There's an idea...that the building is the Flash Museum in the future, and that room is from the building's future....

Cisco.

Just saw episode 7 - things are getting more interesting!

But surely Eddie Thawne will have to be Reverse Flash? It's Thawne in the comics... Cisco would be Vibe...

(bloody spoilers - it'd be nice if we were a day behind the US airing instead of a week and a half)

It was pretty blurred by his vibrating; looked sort of like just a shirt with a lightning bolt. I don't think they could tell it was identical.
