I stopped watching somewhere around season 4 or 5. The first season of Flash was exceptional though, and I love Gustin's portrayal of Barry Allen.

I came back for the finale and though it felt rushed, I like that it left the characters in a good place. I was a bit disappointed that Reverse Flash was defeated in an unceremonious way and did not have one final trick up his sleeve. I also wish Jay Garrick had a larger presence in the story, though he did have a good bit with the nod to the 90's series.

All in all, it was nice to catch up with Team Flash again (though Cisco was sorely missed).

Heh, where the hell was Jenna?

Heh, where the hell was Wally? Oh, they used him already a couple of eps back...

I'm kinda surprised the plot to Episode 10 wasn't used as the finale. Feels like the full-circle nature of that episode would tie in better as a series ender. You could still keep the Nora being born plot of the series finale, but with Barry saying goodbye to his parents, while becoming one himself.

I was impressed by how effective Rick Cosnett was as a supervillain. I wouldn't have minded if he'd had a longer run at it. As flawed as the final season was, I do appreciate that they devoted the final arc to revisiting Eddie and giving him closure -- at least more closure than "the guy who killed himself to erase a villain who survived somehow anyway so it amounted to nothing."

The Flash's final showrunner, Eric Wallace, gives details on his plans for if season nine had been longer and/or they had gotten a season ten.
    • The Blackest Night adaptation crossover with Titans, Stargirl and Superman & Lois (following up on the Deathstorm storyline).
    • The Forever War adaptation
    • Khione origin
    • Hot Pursuit (the return of Julian Albert + Patty Spivot)

Yeah, that would have been perfect. It's the best episode of this season and perhaps the best of the past few seasons. It was a large step up in production quality and direction and really felt like they were giving their all. Unfortunately what we got just served as a long goodbye to it's large cast with everyone getting something to do.

Blackest Night? Aren't they forgetting one important thing for that story?
A crossover with Superman and Lois would have been interesting since they have established that he's a different Superman to the one we have seen in Crisis. In fact, that Superman is still around in Prime. Does that mean there would have been two Supermen?

Having Blackest Night without the Green Lantern/Lantern Corps would be like doing Ra's Al Ghul storylines without Batman... I mean the Arrowverse would never...

I don’t blame you. I only remember as I rewatched the whole show recently.

Underwhelming finish to a series that started quite strongly. I only watched the whole series because I liked Gustin enough but two things happened this season I’ve never done with anything I’ve watched for the first time (excluding some live sports). I fast forwarded through scenes with Chester and Allegra (and found the Barry-less episode especially painful) AND I did something else while treating the show as background noise on more than one occasion. Any other show, I’d have stopped watching altogether. Despite my appreciation of Gustin, this was a season too many. Some good individual moments scattered around, but not enough.

I'm glad Barry and Iris got a happy ending with baby Nora, but otherwise it was far too unremarkable for a series finale. Still, better than the Supergirl finale!

I quite liked the Supergirl finale proper, i.e., the episode titled "Kara" that aired as the second half of the two-hour presentation. In fact, I rewatched it quite recently, and again found it extraordinarily emotional and satisfying. It was just the rest of the season leading up to it (including the penultimate episode that aired right before it) that pretty much sucked.

I didn't watch the Flash finale, so can't speak to that one.

Whoa! This guy on YouTube just video-edited several movies together with CW's The Flash to create his own interpretation of a live-action Justice League.

Was anyone interested in their scenes? The show had been particularly heavy with these two and their "romance". I zoned out whenever they were on screen.

@Christopher must be annoyed that Allegra never got a superhero name. Bloody Cecile did, but not her.
