Eat it, NATS! :p

Still going at the local IMAX, through Labor Day. Might another viewing be in the cards a week from this Monday?

that sucks that our city isnt on it.

i need to call them up.
i just dont think harry potter is still bringing over whelming numbers.
and i know a number of people who missed out on seeing star trek on imax due to the short two week period.

TrekMovie is reporting that Trek 09 is heading back to 85 Imax theaters in North America -- starting this weekend and running through September 17th. This should easily put the movie over $257 million :)

That is just fantastic... It has been playing at the Cannery Row IMAX for the last 9-10 weeks, and will continue through Labor Day weekend. Numbers have held steady, although this week has seen a drop-off as kids go back to school.

Should have a good weekend though.

Wonder if 260 is possible now?

Star Trek made $22,255 on Tuesday, a small 3.4% increase from Monday (and a good 15% drop from last Tuesday), with a PTA of $102.

Domestic Total: $256,717,048

How is the Bridge? I've never been to it.

It's very good. It's one of the new luxury theaters that has opened in the LA area in recent years. The other famous LA area luxury theater is Arclight in Hollywood. I have been to The Bridge a few times since it's close to where I live. I haven't been to Arclight yet (though I have been to the Cinerama Dome many times before it became part of Arclight).

The Arclight is pretty nice. I used to live fairly close to it in Hancock Park. I liked the option of 21+ showings, but only went once.

I might have to check out the Bridge sometime so I can compare them.

$22,560 for Wednesday September 2nd. Up 1.4% from Tuesday. Per screen average was $103. Pretty solid, and with the announcement that the movie is returning to some IMAX theatres, it'll definitely get to $257 million, possibly fairly soon.

Domestic total: $256,739,608.

Star Trek had another small increase on Wednesday (1.4%) to $22,560, with a $103 PTA, and bringing the domestic total to $256,739,608.

$257 million could be within reach within a week.

On a side note, Transformers 2 is slowly inching towards $400 million.

With the return to IMAX, Star Trek will be playing in 268 theatres this coming week -- that's 50 more than it currently has!
