I don't mind it. But nothing is as good as Seinfeld! :p

At least I see what people love so much about Seinfeld. And I actually don't think it's a bad show or anything like that, I just don't care much for it. But I do not got what people see in Everybody loves Raymond...that show just bugs the living hell outta me.

Hey all. :) (Did anyone miss me or even notice I was gone ;) )
You were gone? Just kidding, man, welcome back! Hope the ski trip was fun!

Can't say I'm part of that everyone... y'kno, who supposed loves Raymond ;) It is funny though. I caught a portion of an ep tonight and found myself laughing. Mainly Robert cracks me up. His expressions are just hilarious. Raymond is a bit to deadpan, even for me. But the show has it's moments.
Again, this is one of those shows that's good the first few times, but gets old quickly, at least for me. When the whole show is based upon two or three standing jokes, pretty soon you run out of variations on the theme.

My mom's recently fallen in love with the show, though, so what can you do?

I just recently found out Raymond is one of my brother's favorite shows! Yep, more evidence about how unalike we are  Good thing he lives 100 miles away from me, or I might be forced to watch it more often.

Steven, tell us what you think of the service. I took a quick glance, and they seem to have the same setup as NetFlix; keep 3 movies at a time, return whenever you want for more. I think I'll have to get back in it. I really did enjoy it when I was a subscriber, except for the slow deliveries (which I hear have much improved).

^ Will do. The free trial ends on Friday, and then I have to decide whether I want to pay $25 a month or not.

Oh, there's something else I want to ask you guys. What do you think of the BBS card I made for myself yesterday?

^Nice card.

How'd you do it?

Screen cap from WYLB, standard maple leaf that I made a bit transparent, and I used an online text graphic site for my name. :)

After a bit of frustration later, I came out with that. I think that I used up all of my artistic talent in making it though. :o

Edit: As for programs, I used Paint, and some low-level (ie not something like Paintshop or something like that) photo editing software that came with my computer.

So what have people been up to? I've been watching more B5 again, so I'm now somewhere in the middle of S4. :) I aslo got a notice from amazon.ca that they sent my Stargate SG1 season 1 set today, so I should be getting that sometime next week, which is probably gonna be at around the same time I'll be done with B5 S4. :) They're probably not gonna send my S2 and S3 Stargate sets for another week or two, but that's okay. :) I've got finals coming up in less then two weeks, so I'm getting ready for that and I've still got a lot of school work to do. Anyway...I'm gonna stop rambling now. :D

First of all, thanks for preventing this thread from dying. In the words of Gorkon, "Don't let it end this way" :D

Anyway, nothing much. Studying, going to school, watching DS9 (Saw another brilliant underrated episode last night, Ties of Blood and Water ) and finishing up my tax return. Other than that, life is good, the weather is even better. :D

Eh, not much. Made a BBS card for myself (see above). ;)

Waiting for Zip to ship me the first set of DVD's I ordered. Except, in their infinite wisdom, they're only sending me 2 (I have 12 on the list) and they've decided that I should watch the first discs of season 1 and season 2 of Babylon 5 first (weird considering I have all the discs on the list in order).

I watched two episodes of DS9 the other night: Prodigal Daughter and The Emperor's New Cloak. As usual, they both were kinda "eh"....but at least I finished another disc. I really need to get season 7 wrapped up so I can move on to my VOY DVD's.

Bought Schindler's List today on DVD. And Mona Lisa Smile. Sorry, guys...no scifi in the bag today! ;)

You're still working on Season 7. What's taking so long. ;)

NEVER!!! Well, at least not until it reaches 1000 posts. :D

Yeah, I was looking at the Schindler's List DVD at FutureShop and I decided to get it. I think I'll see if I can either rent it or borrow it, cos I haven't seen it in ages so I'm not sure how much I even liked it. And well, the fact that it's a depressing movie doesn't really make me wanna get it. :) And yeah, all the new DVDs that have been coming out lately are of no interest to me. Well, at least most of them. My wallet likes it, but I don't. :D

Two words: Tax season.
Two more words: You're surprised??

Well, my latest non-sci-fi purchase was Once Upon a Time in Mexico, used the last of my Replay dollars on it. I'm tempted to take Columbia House up on their offer to renew my membership with 5 DVDs for just shipping & handling, plus another for $15, plus another for $4, then 2 more over the next 3 years (you know the drill). It's certainly a racket, but I figure I get the best titles I can for cheap, then a few more when the sales look really good, and push off when I've filled my obligation till they offer me another renewal and 5 "free" DVD offer ;)

Otherwise, not much happening. What does everyone think of these new ads for the updated Star Trek Experience? Pretty cool, eh? The Borg suspensefully bumping up against a door, lasers peering out at ya. The one in its stasis until you put your mouse over its face, then the eye opens... Oh no!! Anyway :D I've been really wanting to visit the Experience in Vegas. I might have to make a trip this year.

Well I didn't go to school today, cos a couple of classes were cancelled and honestly, I didn't feel like it. :D Instead, me and my g/f went downtown for a while which was fun. I got 4 Star Trek books, one of which is the final Lost Era book that I was still missing (The Sundered). I also finally found Gone With the Wing, my mom's favourite movie, for her birthday, which is actually in october, but that's okay. :D
