The Final Official Countdown to Season Seven

I've been MIA for a while, after deciding to give DS9 a break (immediately after watching Seasons 1-7 straight through, twice!).

And I'm happy the thread's still going! :)

Well I just got Phone Booth today, so in the evening we're watching one of the following three movies: SWAT, Phone Booth or Minority Report. Funny thing, Colin Farrell is in all three of them. :)

^^ SWAT's the only one of those I've seen, so far, and I actually thought it was pretty decent. I just watched Charlie's Angels 2, for the first and LAST time.

^ I've actually seen all three of those movies before and I like all of them. We watched SWAT today and I actually liked it more then the first time I saw it. :D

And yeah, Charlie's Angels 2 sucks soooo bad. I just can't describe how bad that movie is.

Step away from Colin Farrell sir, please step away...

Just kidding, those just happen to be some good movies. SWAT for good ol action & fun (Michelle Rodriguez is surprisingly hiliarious). And I enjoyed Phone Booth, specially for... THE VOICE

Well, my birthday is coming up and as usual I get to decide what I'm gonna get to my folks (nifty arrangement eh? I always get what I want, lol), so I picked up S3 of Angel which got released today. I also got S2 to go with it and I got S5 of Buffy a couple of days ago (all of them reasonably cheap), so now I'm only missing S1 of Angel, which hopefully I'll get for my b-day from someone else. :) And amazon.ca shipped my order (LOTR book set, Diplomatic Implausibility and The 34th rule), so that's nifty aswell. The only BIG downside is that there's a family problem back home. I'm not gonna go into detail, cos it's rather personal. Anyway...my mom called me earlier today and told me about it. She was really down and unable to sleep (at 2am), so she called me. So we talked for an hour, which is gonna be freaking expensive (Europe to North America), but on the plus side, she was feeling much better after we got off the phone. So while I might not be home to help out with the problem at the moment, I can still contribute. And well, keeping my mom sane is the most important thing in the whole matter. :) Anyway...I'm not sure why I typed all that, maybe I just needed to talk about it. I'm gonna stop the rambling now...yeah, that sounds like a plan. :)

^

That sounds like it's gonna add up to a great birthday, BigFoot! Hope that you have a very nice day, whenever it is!

I'm going to pick up Angel season 3 later on today. I already have the rest of the seasons...as I do with Buffy. I love those two shows! :D

As always, I wish you & your family the best, BigFoot. Sounds like you're gonna have enough TV & movies to keep you occupied for at least, what, a week?

Anyway, I used the remainder of my Replay coupons to get Once Upon a Time in Mexico for free  Other than that & ST:VI, I haven't bought anything lately. Still contemplating signing up with NetFlix & checking out B5.

Thanx, it's February 26th btw. :) It should be fun, though I know I'm gonna miss not being able to spend it with my family.

And yeah, I love those two shows aswell. :) I can't wait for S6 of Buffy.

Thanx man, I appreciate it. I talked to my mom again afterwards and she said she's going a lot better which cheered me up. So I'm in a reasonably good mood today.

Have you watched Once Upon a Time in Mexico? I watched it ago and while it was alrite, I thought it wasn't nearly as good as the first two movies (El Mariachi and Desperado).

kev I just joined Netflix a month ago, and have already watched the equivalent of $60 in rentals, for the Netflix price of $20 a month. It's way worth it. And so easy too.

Any idea if they ship to Canada?

Yep, I've seen Once Upon a Time in Mexico. I thought it was great, though not as good as Desperado. Haven't seen El Mariachi yet, but I plan to buy the 2-DVD set of El Mariachi & Desperado.

I've been a member previously. I enjoyed it mainly because I could get movies that I couldn't find at Blockbuster or around town. But I wasn't watching & returning them quickly enough to cover $20 EACH month (and at the time, they allowed me 4 DVDs at a time, rather than the current 3). I hear the delivery is faster now (more distribution centers), so I'll check it out again sometime.

Nifty, it's been a while since I've seen El Mariachi, but I thought it was great. :D And well, so is Desperado, hehe. :D

All I have to say is Antonio Bandaras and Johnny Depp in ONE movie!!!!!! WHOA BABY!!!!

This is almost as big a bonanza, babe-wise, as Pirates of the Caribbean!!!!! :p

I'm definitely gonna rent it at least...but I'll probably buy it when I have the money. Even if it is crap, I can always enjoy it with the sound turned off. :D

Oh it's definately not crap, it just isn't as good as El Mariachi and Desperado. Still a fun flick though. :)
