Okay. Now that season six is released, it's time for the final countdown to Season Seven to begin.

It's kinda difficult to miss since it's on my birthday. ;)

That's funny... it's the day before mine. Can't wait, since I just started Season six!

This is where I come for the official release dates!
Its been so helpful. I am going to miss them when all 7 seasons are finally on the shelves.
Can we do them again just for the hell of it? JK

What is the exact date of the season 7 release?

The 2nd. DS9 has been released on the first Tuesday of whatever month it's being released in for every season except S1.

Well, my S6 won't be here until tomorrow, but I'll join in here too.

And I must say, the finality of it all has me a bit :(.

But I guess everything that has a beginning has an end.
:D

Maybe we could celebrate each seasons yearly anniversary on their release dates.

I can't believe the whole series is almost out! I still remember back at the beginning of the year when I was dreaming of the day I'd have season 1 in my hands.

Hey me too Campe my birthday is the 3rd too. So anyone out there feel like buying us both a season 7 set it would make it a great birthday!

I think I'll feel a little sad too once I've finished watching season 7. I remember feeling a little blue after the series first ended on air. Even though I had recorded most of the episodes, it was a bit of a downer knowing that there will be no more DS9 for the foreseeable future. Now with the dvds, I'm rewatching a lot of episodes that I might have only seen once or twice and watching everything in order. I can only imagine that once I get through What you Leave Behind again that I might get a bit teary eyed. Even though I know I can go back and watch my favorite episodes again, I doubt I'll go back and watch the entire series run from start to finish any time soon.

I can, however, take comfort in reading the DS9 relaunch books, and if anyone here hasn't checked them out and wants to continue on with DS9 after season 7, the relaunch books are an awesome way to go. They truly feel like a genuine continuation of the show. At the very least, pick up Avatar books 1 and 2 and read them. I'm sure almost everyone from here will get hooked on them.

Knowing Season 7 is coming out has me a bit

I mean, I'm a bit saddened that it has to end, but I'm REALLY HAPPY knowing I will soon possess the entire series of DEEP SPACE NINE!!

You took the words right out of my mouth kevsthaman.

It will be so cool having DS9 on DVD and not having to wait until 10 years later to see great TV. I was watching the first two episodes of season 6 tonight and its beautiful clarity, and awesome episodes. I already know season 6 is not my favorites with stupid ones (This is only based on my first 2 viewings) like "The Magificant Ferengi," "Profit and Lace," and "Valiant." Dispite that, I'm enjoying (one could say addicted) to the occupation arc.

*Vash's heart drops as she is reminded of the fact that Valiant is a season 6 episode*

Damn! I knew it was coming sometime! :p

*walks off muttering "Annoying little twerp!!!!! Deserved to get his ass blown out of the sky!!!*

:p

^^
Are you rambling again Vash?

I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned a certain mirror universe episode featuring the return of a certain Vedek. ;)

I like Valiant, especially the big battle at the end. But then I have always been a sucker for special effects. Don't you all think that the destruction of the Valiant kind of took some of the wind out of the destruction of the Defiant though?

Anyways, back on to season 7 - I can't wait to get it! It only comes out about 2 weeks after season 6 here in the UK, a few days before Christmas!

There is so much coming out Dec. 2, I think I'm definitely going to go broke. Dec. 2 may be a day that lives in infamy for me. Do you think my family will mind if I just skip Christmas for them this year? ;)

Between Dec 2 (DS9 and Alias s. 2) and Dec 9 (Buffy s. 5 and Firefly) I am going to be ridiculously broke. Luckily, I'm doing my Xmas shopping early in preparation! :D

It'll be nice not to have to drop the cash every month/every other month, but I'll miss the excitement of a new season being released!

Who is going to start from the beginning again after they finish s. 7? :D

^ Actually, I have it in my head to start with TNG and watch it straight until Season 6 and then try to incorporate DS9 and TNG together and then watch the rest of DS9 after TNG S7 (incorporating the movies as need be). Whether or not I actually do this is debatable, but it would be interesting, especially seeing the changes in the character of Worf.

Well, what I look forward to are the special features. Will they include a complete signed photo shot of all the cast members? That would be really nice, no? :)

Yay! I just got my Season 6, haven't watched it yet, but,

bring on Season 7!!!! :D

Oh, BTW, Matrix Revolutions was grrrrreeeeeeaaaaatttttt!!!

:D

Make it up to them with a firm handshake and a wish for a great New Year. :)
