The Fifth Element

Not a huge fan of Chris Tucker's involvement, but other than that it's a great film. One of the few in which the primary hero never meets the primary villain. :D
Such as TWOK? :)

Oh, I would disagree with that. It may have been a viewscreen but Kirk and Khan had several scenes "together" and exchanged dialog.

I loved Fifth Element. One of the most believable visions of mundane civilian life in the future I've ever seen.

Oh sure, some of the science is a little off. That's where you kick back and just enjoy the fantasy romp. But I love most the atmosphere it creates. I'd rank it right up there with Blade Runner in terms of the feel of the future.

And like Blade Runner it starred Brion James.

Best. Standoff. Ever.

I absolutely LOVE this movie! I love its depiction of NYC in the future, and just the overall feel and look of the movie. It's great fun to watch.

I love, LOVE this movie. I broke in my 61" widescreen television with the Superbit edition of the movie. It was unbelievably awesome.

As for Chris Tucker, he wasn't love-annoying, he was just annoying-annoying. I think what really pushed it over the top for me was all his loud screaming like a woman. Just because that was the point doesn't mean I want to hear it. :D

I love this movie as well. It looks great, sounds great (especially in DTS), has a great cast, has action, adventure, romance and humor that's actually funny. It's just so outrageous and well made. And I love Ian Holm in this movie. He's a riot and his performance makes me grin every time he's on screen. :D

I love that bit where Korben shows up at the priest's apartment with the girl, unconscious, in his arms. The priest just looks at them and says "Weddings are one floor down, my son. Congratulations." then slams the door. :guffaw:
