The Ferengi episodes

I loves them all, including Profit and Lace. I know it's sexist, transphobic and insulting to just about everyone on some level, but I have a soft spot for farce.

Armin Shimmerman could read the phone book and I'd probably watch.

What I love about Armin Shimmerman is that he was big fan of Trek before he got the role. In interviews, he's said other cast members would go to him with Star Trek questions. It's nice to see a fan sort of live out what could be called the ultimate fan dream by getting a part on an ST show ... and doing it fabulously to boot!

Someone on youtube noted, that in all ways, Armin Shimmerman is the direct opposite of Robert Beltran :P

I usually love the Ferengi episodes so long as they don't have Ishka in them. When they have Ishka in them, then I hate them.

Overall I enjoyed the Ferengi episode, so I think they had a positive impact on DS9 as a whole.

DS9 would not have been as enjoyable without The Ferangi. Little Green Men puts a cramp in my side everytime I watch it.

Ishka (Moogie) was hit-or-miss, particularly since IIRC she was played by two different actresses. I liked the idea that she was the one with "the lobes" from whom Quark got his business sense, but on the other hand they had they one scene where she disrobed to make Rom feel more comfortable, which ... ick. I get that they were trying to show us the cultural difference, but ewwww too much skin...

There's some bad ones in there. But I liked them. They were usually some of the lighter episodes and actually gave the Ferengi more definition.
