The Federation and AI starships / won't be friends again

We all know how the Federation feels about AI in modern star trek and after coming to the end of season 1 of another Roddenberry show Andromeda, and thinking also of season 3 and 4 of Discovery how would the Federation in the post TOS / TNG period or beyond feel about fully sentient starships with avatars like the Andromeda in their own fleet?

I do have to wonder how long that would last or would they order the ships go away never to return or just find a way to destroy them rather than have to deal with them?

Erm, isn't Zora/Discovery a sentient ship with a mind of it's own?

Yes but I'm talking about a ship like that if it were in the TNG post TNG era..... We know how the Federation feels about AI in Picard and such so how would they deal with a ship like Discovery or even a ship like Andromeda if they were in the fleet.

If they are against AI how would those ships get into the fleet in the first place?

These threads you're making are probably more Trek Tech than this forum anyway.

Might be the exception that proves the rule
Zora, like Data or the EMH, it's unique. On the other hand we don't see fleets of Zoras and, after the synth ban, no armies of Datas. And the majority of the EMHs were consigned to a labor camp.
