The fate of Cupcake (spoilers)

EDIT: The discussion was on the way back to our cars.

I'm glad you said that so we didn't think you were evil.
You know I'm evil, but thanks for the kind words, teacake. :adore:
The writer, Roberto Orci, said on another website that "we didn't see Cupcake die"

I think the implication was that he could always be back in the next movie, even though an earlier script (upon which the novelization was based) might have called for his death
Maybe Orci realized Cupcake has become somewhat of a meme among Trekkies...
Why is Cupcake so much less fat in this one.

I didn't even notice it was him this time around. That's probably why.
I noticed right away when Cupcake showed up onscreen. My brother said in the first movie that he looked like me. After that, finding Cupcake is easy. :rommie:

A better question, why didn't a D-4 take a shot at Khan? He was standing on a raised platform. (I once saw a video where a tank took out a man with a weapon. I would think a Klingon vehicle would attempt the same with Khan. "Boot, Ant")

Since this thread is about Cupcake, perhaps you should start your own thread on your topic.

I was looking around for Cupcake and co the 2nd time I saw STID and couldn't tell whether he was killed or not. They certainly weren't there when Kirk was ineffectively punching Khan. However they could have been lying injured somewhere, maybe.

Look with all respect Cupcake alleged demise may leave room for a female security redshirt and would that be a bad thing?

I'm glad Orci made the comment about us not seeing Cupcake killed, hopefully they'll bring him back next film.

The next movie is called ST: TSFC. Star Trek: The Search for Cupcake.
Upon returning to Earth, Gaila advises Kirk that they shouldn't have left Cupcake on the planet, and the crew risks everything to go back an save him. Johnny Depp will play Grignak.

I like it.

We never saw him die and we never saw him back on the ship after the battle. I can't say one way or another but I'm leaning to him being alive. no death scene makes that likely IMO.

Just show us him and Gaila in a bar together.

Or have you all forgotten about Gaila now that your precious Cupcake's fate is in jeopardy?

I haven't. I've always interpreted her reaction in the assignment scene as meaning she got the Enterprise. Plus, in a deleted scene Kirk actually mistakes another Orion for her and apologises for his behaviour, so I think he was aware she was onboard.
