The Fan of Time

Probably the late 90s - early noughties for me. DS9 was coming to a fantastic climactic end, the TNG crew was still putting in big screen appearances, we still had Voyager, and the prospect of not getting a new series after that was preposterous.

That all came crashing down in 2003/2004 when there was talk Enterprise wouldn't get a fourth season, I became aware of all the Nemesis and Voyager hate, and I started doubting my own love of Voyager's last few seasons. Then Enterprise got cancelled, and I've found the world to be a cruel and dark place ever since, with not enough quality television :p

I didn't even know there was any Voyager or ENT hate until I started posting on this BBS. Even in the early Noughties I was riding the Trek high. As soon as I came here, I knew things were not all well in the Trek world.

Yep...those were the best years..I agree...

Though, I did like the months of antcipating TMP. And although TMP has it flaws, it is still my favorite Star Trek "movie" experience. The waiting in the line...getting the popcorn..watching that opening battle with Vgr...great times...

The 10 years from 85 to 95 were my favourite years. I met a load of Trek fans who became good friends; I was going to cons; running cons; meeting the actors; meeting up with friends; buying the merchandise. There was loads of new Trek, loads of stuff to do and see and buy. Great times.

I totally agree Bolian...for those TREK fans your age is almost like the build up we had for TMP due to the lack of anything TREK for almost, what, six years now?
