The European Football Season 15/16

Damn the last few games of the Prem season are going to be very interesting. I hope Leicester can hang on in there! (which is a tad unfair given that Spurs winning it would be a breath of fresh air in any normal season!)

While watching something completely different I almost missed the German DFB Pokal semi-final Bayern vs Bremen. Currently 1:0 for Bayern. We will see what'll happen.

Alaba just shot the ball in his own goal. Not very entertaining.

Edit: obviously it doesn't count.

Today second semi-final: Hertha BSC Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund.

I would be surprised if the final isn't Dortmund vs Bayern, but we will see.

Yesterday
Newcastle 1 - 1 Man City

Tonight
West Ham 3 - 1 Watford
Liverpool 4 - 0 Everton
Man United 2 - 0 Crystal Palace

United close the gap on City in the chase for fourth. Liverpool batter Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Champions League Semi Final First Leg

Man City 0 - 0 Real Madrid

This had goal-fest written all over it so it should come as no surprise that it ended up being goalless.

Another Champions League match day:

Athletico vs Bayern. They are still busy with the Countdown, though.

Atletico Madrid 1 - 0 Bayern Munich

Amazing goal.

In other news, the Champions League final is going down the Superbowl road of having a big show-piece musical event. Starting with Alicia Keys

Sigh.

Sigh.

Not really my taste in music. I will drop the preliminary skirmishing. Much ado about nothing.....

Euro League

Villareal vs Liverpool. Nothing happened so far. Hope that Klopp prevails, for whatever it's worth.

Villarreal 1 - 0 Liverpool

Bad goal to give away, right at the very end.

I missed it because Thot Tnak forced Kor and me into a rushed game of Star Trek A to Z. It's not really funny anymore. I prefer to read now.

Swansea 3 - 1 Liverpool

Man United 1 - 1 Leicester City

A Leicester win would have made them champions today but it didn't happen. If Tottenham don't win away to Chelsea tomorrow... Leicester will be champions.

Chelsea 2 - 2 Tottenham

This result means... congratulations Leicester City. Champions of England for the first time EVER. From nowhere. Amazing season.

36 games played. Only two left.

Leicester City 77
Tottenham 70
Arsenal 67
Man City 64
Man United 60
West Ham 59
Southampton 57
