The End of Oak Street | Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor (August 14, 2026)

I forgot to mention in my other post, that it looks like this actually has dinos with feathers, which as far as I can remember we've never gotten in any of the Jurassic movies.
 
I think by the time feathered dinosaurs became accepted, the Jurassic Park movies had already veered away from any form of scientific trends. The first few movies at least tried, but the Jurassic World movies are all more fantasy than science-fiction.
 
Yeah, I guess they did kind of move away from any kind of plausibility once they started making up their own new dinosaurs and introduced a human clone.
 
Nothing is more fantasy than spending how many hundreds of millions to train dinosaurs to kill someone you point a light at? If you have to point at your target, a gun already does the same job for a lot cheaper and a lot faster.
 
Yep, exactly. It's when they started having Chris Pratt's character training dinosaurs. The whole idea is just fantasy at this point, and quite ludicrous at that. I don't feel the Jurassic World movies are in the same league as the Jurassic Park movies for that reason. I mean, Spielberg went to great lengths with the first movie to make the dinosaurs feel as real and realistically grounded as possible by using the latest findings at the time, including how they would have behaved. That went hand-in-hand with the research Crichton himself had done ( I have an Uncle, a now retired paleontologist, who was used as a source for the sequel). And I feel they continued it with every sequel they followed. And had the series continued by the time feathered dinosaurs had become an accepted thing, I feel they would have followed. But the reboots happened and threw all the that away; no longer were they even prentending, they were just making things up. Another thing that changed was the tone.

Oh OK, I only saw Dominion once, when it first opened in theaters, so I don't remember it very well.
 
Yeah that looks brilliant! I don't have enough time or money to see all the movies I want in cinema this year, but will catch it on streaming!
 
Yup, that's going to be fun.

Don't underestimate the baby dinosaur (?). Compys proved even at that size they can be formidable little buggers. Just ask John Hammond and Dieter Stark. :lol:
 
It's gonna be a streamer for me, but I'll definitely be watching it the first day it comes out.
