What was with Jack seeing a plane fly over head?

1.) It all happened and someone Jack reset things so they could have that time in the alt universe (or purgatory whatever) to get back together

2.) None of it ever happened and they were dead this whole time

Now which one is correct is up to us I guess, they want to leave it up to us to decide, ugh.

The series finale was satisfying with a peaceful sense of resolution and the delightful return of familiar faces. And it ended the same way it began: with the shot of Jack's eye. Brilliant!
