I finally saw the finals and the first two episodes of Season 1 and all of Season 7. I liked the very end of the finale with Kira and Jake in a the small window but I hated the two breakups, Bashir and O’Brien, and Kira and Ofo.
I was was moved by the second episode of the first season when Cisco realized the he never left the place where his wife died. The things we leave behind, which ironically is the name of the finale.
My husband wants to on a vacation, but I cannot bear to leave behind our beloved pouch who died in our home five months ago.
I kind of liked the spiritual stuff with Cisco in the end.

I don't think the name of the last episode is a coincidence with how the series began, Kate. Sympathies for the death of your dog.

I thought the two breakups, especially O'brien and Bashir, gave the finale a bittersweet resonance and a level of truthfulness to real life.
