The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventures

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

I'm a bit surprised that so many people say they don't watch SJA. Sure it's marketed as a younger-skewing show, but in practice the stories aren't significantly different in tone from those on Who.

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

We've already got the Pertwee/ Baker companion reunion. We should really move on the fifth and sixth doctor.

Tegan would be an interesting choice and obviously Peri would be another(Nicola's aged like fine wine)

Bringing back Tegan would probably be the ultimate fan wish for me, not sure she'd ever do it...then again there was a time she wouldn't even do the audios.

I think bringing back Jamie would be second on my list. Jo's an odd one, but I guess there is a 3rd Doctor/UNIT connection that links the two of them.

I don't care who it's marketed to, I like the show, and there are more references to classic Who in SJA than in modern Who. For the most part, I enjoy it, and plan on continuing to collect the dvds.

and he's got the Scottish thing going for him and Moffat is fond of the Troughton era.

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

that is harsh

...but funny?

Well maybe a bit ;) Although McCoy did have his moments...

I notice from the press release that the gang will make their first journey off world...let's hope the Judoon don't find out!!!
I think the Judoon have got better things to do than worrying about Sarah Jane, yeah I know they gave the gang a Space ASBO, but come on they have bettter things to do with there time.

Ooh, I hope it's not for something sad like the Brig's funeral... :(

Source? You seem to be the only person in the world who knows this, which makes me think that you don't really "know" this. No offense.
This is the best I can find at the moment:

"The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has confirmed that Karen Gillan will be returning as Amy Pond for the Eleventh Doctor’s second series next year."

Good find.

I have to assume that the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has not confirmed that Karen Gillan will be returning as Amy Pond for the Eleventh Doctor's second series next year, or we'd have heard all about it by now.
Erm, well, it has been confirmed in DWM. Issue #420, page 5, paragraph 3.

I can understand why international Doctor Who fans dont bother with SJA, it simply does not air around the world like Doctor Who or SJA, as a CBBC show there is no easy place to put it for alot of channels.

I dont think BBCAm even has a CBBC branded block of programs.

Im some ways its a series that could only happen on the BBC.

Then how come NO ONE knows about it?

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

I heard about it a few weeks ago.

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

Apparently that's news to greater fandom, because the general buzz is that no one knows if she's going to be here next year or not.

I'm very glad that she is, and greater fandom needs to talk to each other more often! :D

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

For me the ultimate companion call back would be Romana. I suppose though we'd get a regenerated Romana? After the Time War she somehow survived?

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

Sure, why not? Let's bring 'em all back! The next companions can be Elvis and Abraham Lincoln!

Re: The Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant to appear on Sarah Jane Adventure

Awww hell yes! I'm a lot more excited about seeing Jo again than having the Doctor turn up. It would be nice if she were a semi-recurring character.

My only worry is what they'll do with her. I really hope they don't try to go all 'eccentric, but loveable', and ending up just making her annoying.
