The Doctor Who Schematics Thread

I got quite a bit of fan requests recently for me to finish off the Bowships designs before continuing to the time lord compendium..

to that I say....

Let's Do it!:techman:

Also I got a few repeated requests to see the Avenger Class and Vanquisher class in a scale comparison..

so here it is from the side view and top view..

thanks for all the compliments..

Okay so, I am terribly sorry for continually updating with new designs but honestly, creating a fleet of ships that resemble one another and fit an overall engineering aesthetic, is difficult to say the very least. However, there are times when the light of God shines down upon my work, and brings to life something I have longed to bring out from the shackled corners of my over active mind..

see below..

there have been slight modifications to the ships of the series over time, and I think that now, I finally have the look and feel I always wanted from these Gallifreyan Bowships.

The main fleet looks like this chart, 1 dreadnought 2 Heavy cruisers, 3 light cruisers, 4 escort fighters, and 1 massive support ship. escort fighters and support ships coming soon, as well as the warship design and the flagship (Rassilon's personal ship)..

I hope you guys dig this:

Just thinking on this if we see the police box when it's flying how is it possible to knock out asteroids with the bomb station on the bottom there? Kind of bends my head thinking how that works. So the exterior TARDIS we see is in our world and the exterior of the TARDIS proper is in another dimension.

I guess that's why they can have an observation room with transparent walls. Tegan found that in one of the annuals.

While I doubt they would want to add too much new information about The Doctor or the TARDIS, it would be interesting to see the 'bigger on the inside'-thing adressed within a story. Like maybe the ship itself (other than the door) exists in an alternate universe and the interior grows bigger as it gets older filling up the space of that universe. When the Doctor first borrowed/stole it the interior had the square footage of a parking lot, and then a shopping center, and then a small town, and then very LARGE small town. By now its as big as Hong Kong inside. The story I'd want to see would involve aliens punching a hole into the "TARDIS-universe" and trying to break inside the ship through the hull.

Now that is the kind of episode I would love to see.

There was a fifth Doctor story with him and Tegan and she finds the observation room which has transparent walls that allow a view of what is outside and they are trapped inside an giant creature called the Vorvilka (spelling) which is draining power from the ship. It was a bit of a mind bender for me because you had the creature's flesh pressing on the observation room walls yet they exit through the police box shell. So it really messed with my head reading that in a good way..

To this day I remember this story as it was in one of the old Doctor Who Annuals, I think the 20th Anniversary one..
