I'm pretty certain we'll be getting Disney +, if I can get a deal on Hulu, maybe I would, but, there's not a whole lot on Hulu I care about.
I use my brother’s Hulu account in exchange for me sharing my Netflix with him. I’ll be getting Disney+.
Thus far, no genre series outside of SW and the MCU have been ordered or announced.
A couple of light fantasy sounding tv movies, but nothing in the series wise.

Well, I don't know if it really counts, but they are doing a Monsters Inc. sequel series.
It's also going to have pretty much the full library of Disney movies (probably excluding Song of the South), a ton of Fox movies, including Avatar, and shows from all of their TV networks and at least some from the Fox networks, including The Simpsons. So even if the stuff developed specifically for the service doesn't interest you, there could still be some older stuff on there that could make it worth it. I'm planning on getting just as much for the preexisting stuff as I am for the new stuff.
I'm not really a "TV/movies guy." I'm a genre guy. I mean, I watched a fair amount of TV when I was younger. But these days, I don't have much interest in watching anything other than SF/fantasy. I have limited free time, and other interests, like reading, playing RPGs, shitposting on the internet, etc.
My ideal would be if the streaming services specialized. I'd subscribe to one for SF/Fantasy, and one for science/nature/history documentaries, and be done with it.

Amazon used to have something like that, but with all this other stuff, who knows now?
The thing is streaming services are now going to be studio based rather than "network" based. If I'm making the content why shouldn't I also distribute it? It's why Netflix is spending so much money on original stuff, because they are about to lose a lot of stuff.
So, I doubt there will be a specific genre service... unless it will be old shows and movies that have fallen into the public domain. Why would the studios create new content and not show it on their own platforms? And studios won't just create one kind of content.
Pretty much all of the streaming services have at least a couple SFF shows, but none of them are just for SFF. I think with Disney+ it's just that they have Marvel and Star Wars, so they probably figure those two will give them plenty of live action SFF content.
I had wanted CBS All Access for a while, because I tend to fall behind on shows, and I was getting tired of CBS locking them out to non-All Access members before I got a chance to watch them. The Star Trek stuff was just the final motivation that convinced me to sign up for it.
