I'm looking forward to seeing this on opening weekend. At Comic-Con, director Scott Derrickson said his film would be faithful to the original in many ways.

I'm quite looking foward to this one. When I heard about the remake, I went out and rented the original and was really impressed.

Keanu, while not an oscar worthy acor, he's not as bad as some make him out to be. He'll do just fine as Klaatu.

Actually I think it looks freakin' great! I'll certainly be seeing it. I sometimes like how old movies are being rethought for today's audience with modern sophisticated tools of the industry.

This is the thrid thread about this but that's ok, I think its worth an extra amount of attention by real SF fans. My opinion is that the trailer looks makes it look like the movie may be a real serious story. We need more movies like this.

It will be as well received as the remakes to "Flight of the Phoenix" and "War of the Worlds".
