May 8th because the first Kelvin Universe movie was released in theaters on May 8, 2009.

Though technically one could argue April 6th due to a surprise public screening at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin Texas in 2009.

But even there you can see how 17/01 feels like a superficial marketing device of the day, not something with decades of history behind it, though at least that one doesn’t come with this side effect of hijacking a family member’s concealed birthday.
Because it's a fan event, not an in-universe notation.

I think this is overthinking this...a lot.

So if Official Enterprise Day can be 17/01, then Fan Kelvin Day can be 05/14.
By the example of 17/01, should Kelvin day be 14/05?

Irrelevant anyway, the Kelvin rammed the Narada on the same day as Jim Kirk's birth, and Jim Kirk was born on March 22.

I don't know where March 22 comes from (maybe someone else does), but it's cited often.

It comes from the official Star Trek Chronology, which uses the conjecture that Kirk was born on Shatner’s birthday, but that was never the intent for the Kelvin Timeline, where Kirk was born early according to Orci to account for it not being in Iowa (though in TVH we only learn he is “from” there). I’m sure Orci knew about March 22, having also used Okuda’s 2233.

Well, if there's any point at all to the vote this is settled decisively in favor of the Abrams birthday.
