The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

I have to admit, the last few trailers and previews have started to raise my interest level in this again. Right now my only hesitation is the running time.

I'd love to go to something like that if they did it a bit later in its run. I don't want to watch the film for the first time after being already tired by watching two other films.

Yeah, I'm not sure a marathon viewing of all three movies in a theater is something I really want to put myself through.

I have the same reaction that I did when I heard about the Marvel movie marathon leading up to The Avengers -- imagine the stench in that theater. Holy God.

Yeah, well and I thought the same things in the lead ups to most recent Twilight and Harry Potter movies -and I'm sure there was one for Lord of the Rings.

Batman Begins and TDK? That there is over 5 hours in the theater plus the 2-1/2 hours of TDKR. A full day's "work" sitting in the theater? Oy. Somewhere you have to get meals and bathroom in there.

I'll probably watch the movies on DVD in the days before TDKR like I did with Avengers but, oy, I couldn't see doing it in the theater and I like these movies and all. But, sheesh.

I could see the same thing with The Avengers that's, what, five movies or so you'd be sitting through? Yikes. No thanks.

I'll be watching Batman Begins and The Dark Knight before The Dark Knight Rises, maybe a few days or a week before.

Tickets go on sale June 11? Ugh... should I be worried?

I was planning on getting my ticket the week of the release.

I was pretty excited about the idea of seeing al three movies at the theatre, but yeah, I also got to thinking... How would I manage that? 8 or 9 hours is a long time and I don't want to be tired either by the time Rises starts.

I'll just be watching the movies on DVD over the next couple weeks. While these kinds of movie marathons sound fun, they just take way to much time, and I don't know if my legs and back could take sitting in a movie theater that long.

I did my own version for RotK... watched the EEs of FotR and TT and then went to see RotK afterwards [after seeing it before at midnight lol] which allows the comforts of home to ease the time spent.
