The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

A guess

Ra's al Ghul: "you're defending a city so corrupt, we have infiltrated every level of its infrastructure"

-Miranda Tate working at Wayne Enterprises gives Bane the military tumblers. She's tasked with bringing Wayne down.

-Bane brings his mercenaries and gets the key to the underworld organization. Bane challenges Batman.

Traffic in Pittsburgh to be heavily rerouted while they film

http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2011/08/02/batman-filming-to-impact-city-traffic/

"They’re going to dig a big hole in Cherry Way in front of Primanti’s and run the batmobile into the ground, or out of the ground."

Wednesday and Thursday Aug. 17 and 18, Batman and Bane are going to be chasing each other all over the place.

Well, since this is meant to be the end of a trilogy, it would bookend things nicely.

Maybe, but it seems somewhat uninspired. I guess I feel that way because Ra's and the League wasn't mentioned at all in TDK thus potentially making the film feel like an "odd man out" as opposed to a middle chapter.

Kinda like how, in the original Star Wars trilogy, the Death Star reappears in the third movie. Gives off a "Oh, they are doing that again?" feeling.

I dunno. I'm sure it'll be fine and hopefully, I'll be wrong.

I know what it's missing...a mask. Then I'd be very pleased. The goggles are interesting and obviously high tech like her goggles from the comics are. I really want to see her standing up and get a look look at Anne.

^ A headpiece would be nice. Maybe we'll get one.

More photos have come in from the Pittsburgh set of The Dark Knight Rises. Marion Cotillard was once again spotted in her costume, but the more insteresing images are of Anne Hathaway on set in what can only be described as Selena Kyle's bohemian day-wear costume. Also, a woman believed to be Anne Hathaway's stand-in was spotted holding what looks to be Selena Kyle's Catwoman mask.

Batman's costume evolved and so may Catwoman's. It's possible what we're seeing in that pick isn't yet the end result. The rest looks fine so far or at least what we see of it.

I could see Robin wearing those goggles. I've never been able to figure out what he could use, but what Anne has on looks like it could work.

Those goggles and the lights make me think of Harry Osborn in Spider-Man 3.

Also, apparently the plot of this movie is that all of Batman's vehicles suddenly became widely available and everyone who bought one is now a super-villain.

That, or Bane is an identity thief who at one point declares, "Batman, I will BREAK YOU ... your credit line, that is."

As I understand it, the pic appeared on the DKR website as 'Selina Kyle jpg', which makes me think that the full Catwoman costume will be slightly different. Maybe a mask and ears.

Also, I think that this pic was released to pre-empt or distract away from paparazzi type pics of Anne, who is now filming in public. Though, as the latter appeared in this thread before the official release, it may not have worked!

The release of the selina kyle picture is probably to beat spy photos that will come out later today or tomorrow.

More photos of practice down the steps of the Mellon Institute/ Gotham City Hall

Batcopter sighting

Ok, lots of info. Batcopter isn't on set, but "it's pretty badass". About the size of tumbler, the I talked to said they are filming inside probably till lunch. He said it's hard to describe the flying vehicle. When I asked if it had traditional helicopter blades, he said "yes and no". Also, black tumbler is not here, he said he's not sure if it's in Pittsburgh. Probably won't have much news till afternoon.

It's a stunt double though.
They kept the thigh high boots. If they just add the headpiece, you could say that they kept it true to the comic book source.

Jeez Batpod looks like it would be so fun to ride!
From an interview with Christian Bale...

Obviously the Bat gadgets and firepower are vital components to any Batman blockbuster. Did you get to lark about on anything spectacularly dangerous?
Well, there's the Bat Pod - essentially a steamroller combined with a superbike combined with an atomic missile. Embarrassingly, I didn't get to ride it. There are other motorbikes in the film that I got to burn about on, but not the Bat Pod - it was deemed too dangerous; they needed me in one piece to finish the damn movie. Well, that's my excuse. In fact, the guy whodid ride it in the film, Jean-Pierre Goy, was the only guy, out of dozens of bike champs and stunt men on set, who could actually stay on the damn thing for any length of time. Everything he learnt about riding a motorbike he said he had to unlearn to ride the Bat Pod.
