The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

If Nolan did the Riddler, he'd probably cast someone we'd least suspect.

like Jim Carey!

Nolan: "now Jim, I want you to patch in to your inner Edward Nigma again. Just reel it back a little. Oh bugga, scratch that. Like alot. Can you do that for me please?"

Carey: "Yes"

Nolan: "Good, now ACTION!"

Carey: "Riddle me this! Riddle me...."

Nolan: "Oh bloody hell! <facepalm> CUT! CUT! CUT!"

Honestly, I think Carrey could do a good "serious" Riddler with the right direction. Given the time when BF came out, Carrey was still on fire from his Ace Ventura and Mask films. Having him go all Frank Gorshin seemed to be a no-brainer. Since then, Carrey has shown range in his acting. With a director like Nolan, I think Carrey could pull of a top-notch job.

Not saying it should happen, mind you. ;)

Carrey did exactly what he was hired to do in Batman Forever, and he did a great job. But he's proven he's more than just a comedic actor. I think he'd be more than capable of playing a Nolan-style Riddler, and playing it well.

I still like the idea of Robin Williams as Hugo Strange. Whoever started that rumor was onto something. I agree with Skywalker, Carey would act the part the way it was written and how Nolan would want it.

Makes sense. We got the teaser trailer for The Dark Knight in mid-July 2007 (roughly a year before that film's release) and we got the teaser trailer for Batman Begins in July 2004 with The Village. So it makes sense.

July seems to be the month of Batman trailers, and furthermore, the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise seems like an opportune place to host the trailer.

This whole Batman thing is just a hoax. What's really going on is Nolan is doing a movie about luchadors, starring Tom Hardy.
