I've got to disagree with you there. I think it makes perfect sense for a cat burglar (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist) to have night vision goggles as part of her outfit. I really don't think they'll look any sillier than Crane's Scarecrow mask, Joker's makeup, and Bruce's Batsuit. They may have gotten rid of some of the more comic-booky stuff, but there is still alot in these movies you could easily call "silly".
Well my gold standard (and by 'gold standard' I mean 'the solitary specific one I can actually remember') would be the Pfieffer, which always seemed like one of the best getups in the Burton films.
Probably would like it better without the white lines but eh.
Nah. I'm not sure the film may find a way to integrate the goggles in a way that doesn't seem goofy, but that fan attempt ain't it.

Lots of costume pics out there...I saw a photo online somewhere of a fan made Catwoman costume (with goggles) for a masquerade party. And this girl also had the looks for it. It looked fantastic and very well made.
She looks like Rachel Miner.

I'm sure the TDKR art and prop department could streamline the look of the goggles for the film for them to be more practical visually. Rao...this seems such an inane thing to be nitpicky about, and no that was not intended to be a shot at you Kegg, just a general observation. Selina's goggles have the kitty motif going on with them with the sharp angles protruding upwards. Anyways there are any number of ways the goggles can be redesigned "to look practical" and sure they will be.

I could see Anne being given some kind of stylized cowl piece with trimmed down ears. The ears are supposed to have high tech communication gear in them, the same with Batman's cowl piece.
Ah, in that case I could see them sticking around then.
