Good thinking.Bane? Didn't see that coming.
Sounds like a pretty radical re-interpretation
I'm guessing Nolan is drawn to the "drug" aspect of Bane's addiction to "venom."
I was thinking the same thing.
I wonder if he'll be selling it, though, instead of just pumping himself with it.
I'm pretty shocked, I really didn't think he'd reuse a character already done in the movies again. I assumed he'd go with someone new (like Hugo Strange).
Well, it's not like the Joker hadn't been done before (twice).
While Anne is nice to look at, she doesn't evoke "cat" to me. She's too big and clumsy.

Did you see her as Agent 99 in Get Smart? She looked awesome in the black leather jumpsuit and had all the right moves of a skilled fighter.
Bane is a very smart and cunning villain in the books, not just a muscle-bound thug. He's one of the few who deduced Bat's true identity, IIRC.
Isn't Tom Hardy the one who blamed ST Nemesis for getting him addicted to drugs and alcohol?
Guess the wanker has plenty of experience for the role.
Sorry but Keira Knightely is superior to Hathaway in every way.

Yep. Bane was originally conceived to be, more than any other villain, Batman's equal in intelligence and ability; Bane's weakness was that he had come to rely on strength enhancing drugs as his edge.
But Hathaway as Catwoman is just 100% awesome.
I guess we won't be getting a big hulking Bane
You're right. I stand corrected...Anyone who saw him in Bronson will know that Hardy is capable of applying the necessary bulk and muscle to his frame and he ought to give Christian Bale a run for his money.
One of the few?? At least half the Rogue's gallery and a dozen assorted side characters have figured out Batman's identity over the years.
