A Skeksis gets mad at a Strider and just beheads it. The decapitate Kira at the end of Season 1. An UrRu and a gelfling are sleeping together.So... we should expect Gelfling full frontal nudity and brothel scenes?
We also have The Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings series over at Amazon Prime. I'm thinking those two are probably going to do a lot more to scratch that Game of Thrones itch than this will.
Nothing like that but high fantasy

Wow... They're really pulling out all the stops for this one. I wonder if they're going to score any queues from the original Trevor Jones soundtrack. That music was simply haunting.
I heard from a fan podcast screening of episode 1 at the SDCC that it's got the theme for the original in the intro.
It looks phenomenal and should be one of the most epic shows this year.
I'm probably jumping the gun here, but considering this epic scale and the impressive cast, perhaps this series will help revive interest in using puppets in serious television and film productions?
A number of productions have already gone back to using animatronics rather than relying solely on CGI -- for instance, the Star Wars sequel and spinoff films have largely used practical creature effects.
It was a tiny little indie thing, but there is also Yamasong: March of the Hollows which is all puppets, and features the voices of Nathan Fillion, Abigail Breslin, Whoopi Goldberg, George Takei, Peter Weller, and Ed Asner.
I rewatched the movie for the first time since I saw it in the 80s as a kid. The puppetry and environment created are amazing and I can't wait to see what they do for the prequel. However, I remembered exactly why I never rewatched it... The movie itself is fucking horrible
