I tell ya, it was probably this board that spurred a recent rewatch and led me to realize how much I like The Cloud Minders. What an imaginative, well-acted, intriguing, world-building episode. Not a godlike alien or invasion of the Enterprise in sight!

I think that too, but I also love the imaginative nature of the line. I think maybe she had in mind serving as some sort of inspirational ambassador to the miners, which could indeed work well. She might have also wanted to paint or make music about what she saw there, or serve as journalist or advocate to improve relations on Ardana.
