Spoilers The Clone Wars - Season 7 Discussion [SPOILERS]

Probably wouldn’t be cost effective making more than 12. That and other responsibilities Filoni and co. Have.

Cost efficiency is probably why they're doing as many as 12 instead of just the 4 to 6 they'd strictly need to end the story promptly. Just gearing up for a production costs time and money and the way the pipeline works, the more episodes you do overall the less each one costs on aggregate...to a point.

At the end of the day, these are the stories Filoni wanted to tell for the final 13 episodes. We can armchair quarterback until we’re blue in the face of what we want to see or what we think might be better choices. Doesn’t change what we’re getting. I’m not saying we have to like the choices being made. But we can’t change it.

I’m not thrilled with either arc so far but I’m hoping in some way, shape or form, the storyline that I’m really excited about (Siege of Mandalore) will help bring the other two into perspective. If not, oh well.

You may be right about them only getting 12 episodes but to waste 4 of them on this Ashoka story is baffling.
It wasn't their best arc, but it was not a waste. This story not only gave us a chance to see what Ahsoka was up a fairly short time after she left Jedi Order, it also was a showed her coming to terms with not being a member of the Order anymore. It gave her a chance to see the effects that the Jedi can have on every day people, and what those people actually think of the Jedi. It might not have been a huge galaxy shaking story, but it was massively important to Ahsoka, and her journey from Jedi, to Fulcrum, to whatever she's become after the fall of the Empire.

Wow. So are all 4 episodes going to be the Siege of Mandalore, or will there be another story in there too?

If Ahsoka isn't a Jedi, will the clones just look at her with a puzzled expression?

Clone Wars home movies from James Arnold Taylor...

Isn't Order 66 going to happen during the Siege of Mandalore? Or is it going to be it's own separate story?
Either during or in the immediate aftermath. This is just speculation based on the trailer and the 'Ahsoka' novel, but I'm guessing it happens on the Star Destroyer while enroute back to Coruscant with Maul captured.
Order 66 drops and both Ahsoka and Maul have to escape the ship with their lives. It would certainly explain Maul's "running away again, Lady Tano?" line in TotA. That said, there's also a bit in the novel about fake graves for her and Rex where she left her sabres, so the clones may have chased her down to some planet before she can fake her death, or more likely she escapes with Rex, gets his chip out and they both fake each others deaths to throw off pursuit. We'll see.

There's about a week between the Battle of Coruscant and Order 66, so given Anakin & Obi are called away to the former right before the Mandalore mission, that's plenty of time for the siege to play out, the planet secured with Bo Katan installed as Governor, and for everything to seem to be turning out just fine before everything comes down around her e- ...uh... montrals.

Let’s hope they can give Maul Justice here after he was screwed over on Rebels.
Ashoka reaction to Coruscant under attack was weird. She’s smart enough to know that if that planet falls would be worse than some irrelevant backwater planet.

How was he "screwed over" on Rebels?
All that build up for that awful squash fight. Should have let him live. He would have been more exciting to have in Mandalorian than Ashoka. Especially after that tease in Solo.
