Sure, but the hard truth is when it comes down to it, the comics and books are never really going to be equal to the movies or TV shows. If a conflict arises, the stuff that brings in more money is always going to take precedence, and that is the movies and TV shows.

Took me a few weeks to get from 7x08 to 7x09 since the season didn't blow me away but the 4-part finale certainly did. It was a pleasant surprise to see that it overlapped with Ep. III and it packed quite an emotional punch, something ROTS failed to do. I had to rewind the ending and watch it again. It was the first time I really felt the tragic fall of Anakin Skywalker. The handsome, promising young hero we got to know through 7 seasons, destroyed and condemned to a life as Darth Vader. Reminded me of Pike ending up in the chair. My only quibble is that the ending doesn't stand on its own. It's a companion piece to ROTS. It's a minor quibble though. Better than the prequel trilogy, that's for sure.

The Bad Batch arc - good, looking forward to the spinoff.
The Martez sisters arc - mediocre, great visuals.
The finale arc - peak Star Wars. Superb through and through.

I haven't yet seen mention of the music in the four-episode finale of this final season. Very evocative of Vangelis and Bladerunner, and tied in perfectly with what was going on. In a way, the music made the whole thing for me.

Anyone else digging on that music? Especially during right as Order 66 was kicking off.

Yeah, the music for the finale seemed to realise what they attempted but failed at back in season one; bringing unconventional musical styles into Star Wars and still have it feel like Star Wars. Of course, Mandalorian just squeaked in ahead on that front, but still...
