I wasn't into
Bob Newhart as a kid, but it has a fondness attached to it from being one of that block of shows that was always on Saturday nights when my sister and I would spend the night at Grandma's, while the parents were out doing whatever.
So, speaking of Saturdays...turns out that the MeTV Super SciFi Saturday Night shakeup is giving some shows a new home. Just saw a commercial on H&I for a new "Comic Book Heroes" block on Saturdays starting
September 10.
5 a.m. EST: Two episodes of
The Green Hornet
6 a.m. EST: Two episodes of
Adventures of Superman
7 a.m. EST: Two episodes of
Batman
8 a.m. & 9 a.m.: Two episodes of
Tarzan
10 a.m. & 11 a.m.: Two episodes of
The Greatest American Hero
12 p.m.: Two episodes of
Swamp Thing
1 p.m.:
Sheena
2 p.m. & 3 p.m.: Two episodes of
Xena: Warrior Princess
4 p.m. & 5 p.m.: Two episodes of
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
Then they switch to the obligatory cop shows.
I'm suddenly not missing Me as much anymore...you can keep your damn
Love Boat!
