^^ One of the best theme songs ever. I've seen a lot of these episodes recently, as MeTV was showing them early mornings on the weekend.

I've had Get Smart on this weekend, though I haven't had a chance to watch a complete episode. The cast is just amazing, and Barbara Feldon is gorgeous-- it's a pleasure to watch her face at work while all the craziness goes on around her.

Yesterday morning was breakfast at Mom's, and we watched a couple of old Avengers, including one that was surprisingly risque, with lots of women in towels and/or underwear (plus the fact that the artist was using his models' naked bodies as brushes-- I guess I should have focused on art instead of writing). There was one scene where Honor Blackman and another woman were getting into shower stalls at the health club and Blackman inexplicably tossed her towel out into the middle of the floor as she got in, which gave Mom a giggle. There was also a towel-clad Asian woman, which was cool to see in that time and place.

I went ahead through the schedule to DVR upcoming episodes and it looks like we'll be starting the Diana Rigg episodes by the end of the month.

Hah! Get Smart is spoofing Mission: Impossible--"Should you decide not to accept [this mission], you're fired."

i noticed that too. much of her acting is in the face. whenever Max says something obviously wrong she is too polite to correct him but isn't above rolling her eyes at him.

I also caught part of an episode that was spoofing The Fugitive, complete with voiceover narration.

ETA: Heh...there's David Carradine in the Old West, playing a gunslinger instead of a Shaolin monk, on Cimarron Strip.

^^ Damn, I don't remember that one.

But it was always a fond rolling. :D

Used to catch a bit of that a few years back when Me was airing it on Sunday.

Yeah, I've seen that. Despite Eve Arden and Roger C Carmel, it wasn't very exciting. Kind of an odd choice for a binge. But I suppose it raises hopes for some other obscure stuff, like Get Christie Love.

I remember Christie!!?

Harry Guardino from the early Clint police movies was in it!

Plus: Drugs in L.A.

:techman: That's a Stretch!!!

No love for The Mothers-in-Law? I blame Ernie K-Doe....

Hey, I forgot that Jimmy Dean was on this show!

I loved that show. I had a big crush on Teresa Graves left over from Laugh-In. Unfortunately, she got religion and wasn't able to do anything that was required of her anymore, so it got cancelled. Some years later, she died, still very young, in a house fire. :(

I'm surprised it's never been released on DVD. Other one-hit wonders, like Night Stalker and Tales of the Gold Monkey are available, not to mention really obscure treasures like Here Comes The Grump. But there are still some really cool shows, like Get Christie Love and It's About Time, that show no signs of appearing.

Loved Its About Time, and Night Stalker.
I did not know that about Teresa...too bad...she really Socked It To Me!

Vincent Price and Burgess Meredith on back-to-back episodes of Daniel Boone! There's only one man who can help us now.... [Walks over to red pony express bag]

Burgess is one of All-Times!!!...even as Penguin! I still call up the visual memory of seeing him in "Time Enough at Last" (Twilight Zone).

I just watched that TZ the other night.

Current Daniel Boone doesn't have a Batman villain, but it does have a Bond villain: Yaphet Kotto.
