The Chronicles of Narnia

I rather like the Narnia flicks, and, apparently going against the majority, I prefer Prince Caspian to LWW for its darker tone and more complex themes. LWW feels like a kid's movie (not that that's a bad thing per se, but it's not -my- thing, while PC felt more mature). When I got around to reading it I ended up missing the assault on Miraz's castle...I think I also found the conclusion of the duel between Peter and Miraz less satisfying. On a side note, LWW seems to drag for me at this point; PC doesn't have that problem.

But I'm also a big fan of "show, don't tell", so actually witnessing the battles will always, in my mind, be superior to "And there was a big battle which ended with our heroes winning. Yay!" (barring a total failure in the visualization process, of course)

I thought I was thinking impure thoughts about Anna Popplewell ( I love the Brits for their names!! ) who plays Susan Pevensie (the elder daughter) but then just realized that she's 21 or so now. That scene with her sleeping in the glen definitely made me .... uncomfortable...

So how does this make you feel? Elegant Anna P.

I'd be most uncomfortable if it had no effect at all ;).
