The Celtris III Covert Mission

I agree basically with all of these, but didn't there seem to be a strong undercurrent of "only Picard is right no matter how wrong he is" through out the show. I got that vibe a lot, Jelico being the #1 example.
I don't know, Even Picard himself questions the Hugh decision, after the fact, & TBH, he doesn't always fall on the side of right, from the jump. In both of Data's rights episodes, he initially doesn't get on board until Data makes a salient point that is too hard to overlook. It's rare, but he's not a perfect morality barometer either

When I was younger watching the show, Picard was always right, and all these other people were just jerks, but that isn't always the case anymore. Sometimes I just can't tell if the show is trying to say Picard is right or not. When Nechayev dresses down Picard over the Borg, Picard stands at attention and says "Yess sirrr." I can't tell if he's saying "yeah, whatever lady, but you're the boss" or if he's actually been humbled.

A testament to the actor really. Anytime Riker has to drop a "Yes Sir" You know exactly what he's really saying every single time lol. Stewart's performance gives us angles to contemplate decades later. While I admit that the overall intention of the show was for Picard to have been a consistent morality beacon. Stewart plays it a little closer to the vest, & because of that, there's at least a few instances where we get a real guy, who might not always be perfectly in the right

I assume one of those is "The Offspring"?
Yeah. He has to come out of his default "WTF were you thinking?" reaction before he finally comes around, & he even has a tiny bit of that in The Measure of A Man too, reflecting Starfleet's interests at first, before realizing the right thing

It's only after Data ends up comparing himself to other crew members & Geordi's Visor, etc... that Picard is all in
