pretty cool actually ! I didn't expect this. You know, maybe it's not really the Enterprise's bridge. Maybe it's the Kobayashi Maru, which would explain Kirk's shirt... just a thought...

- The set you see in the photo is the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and not a training room.
Thank you. I think that needed to be said. I don't like the bridge myself. Like others have said, I feel its too busy. I believe I would like it a lot more if the "yeoman's station" or whatever it is, wasn't there. It makes things look too cluttered.I think it's so-so. Like many others I think it's too white with too much what looks like glass.
I just want to make sure that people know that just because some people think this bridge looks a bit off doesn't mean we're some sort of Star Trek Fundamentalists or anything. I'm sure some will be be puritans about it, but we've already had about 3 or 4 of those mocking " OMfG!!1111 THIS IS NOT CANIN1111111111" posts. That's a straw man.
I don't care for it. How come every one gets chairs except for the lady at the console? That's not Uhura is it?
Where's the turbo lift? Is that the entrance just to the right of the console? Wonder if there will be more than one lift?
The few pics we see of Kirk, he's wearing all black, is that some type of new Captain's color?
The uniforms looks pretty decent, close to the originals but with an updated feel to it.
Sorry, but the bridge looks just too "cartoony" for me. I'd like to see more shots, though.
I was kind of hoping the layout would be the same and it would have the same basic look, but with updated controls and displays. Kind of like the uniforms look basically the same but are made out of a different material.Eh... I can't say I really expected them to stick too close to the TOS interiors, other than in basic set-up. Many of the TOS sets and props looked cheap, blocky, and non-functional. I'm not 100% ecstatic, but I like it a lot more than other possible directions they could've gone. I'll wait to see a full-on shot of the bridge in working motion before I pass final judgment, but so far I'm pleased.Eh... Way too busy... Kind of reminds me of Galaxy Quest, actually. As closely as he stuck to the uniforms, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in the bridge.![]()
- Abrams was insistent that every piece of equipment on the bridge serve a legitimate purpose — that they all have “functionality.” According to Lindelof, the maps we see in the background near the top of the communications desk were based on the generally accepted layout of the Star Trek universe.

Hmmmmmmm... I'm not sure. I particualrly don't like the standing console with the Tesco barcode scanners on. It looks way too 'sci-fi spoof' to me.
The uniforms, however, rock.
Btw, I think it is the E and not any other ship or a fake-out - '1701' is visible on one of the rear displays, on the left.
I'm putting all my quatloos on that bridge in those new photos being some kind of starfleet simulator.

Well, the KM simulator in STII looked exactly the same as the Enterprise bridge, so...
Is there really a difference?
The Bridge, the uniforms. anyone else think this movie is looking very Phase II? (and I'm warming to the look very quickly)
