I do like the bridge overall. It has too many lights and I am praying that the lens flare affect does not become an annoyance.

The viewscreen could use the row of running lights along the bottom like most other TREK starships have had since the 60s. That would make it feel a little more like the old, classic viewscreen.

It's too "Apple Store." But we're stuck with it until at least the next movie. And we all know Enterprise bridges change between films! It's a federal law! ;)

It will be interesting to see how it will change in the next movie. I think those who made the film must realize that the majority of fans do feel that the bridge just has too many light.

It might get darker/gloomier. And I can easily see more campy colors introduced into the highlights of the consoles and equipment to more closely mimic the classic TOS aesthetic and bring the old/classic and Abramsverse timelines closer together in feel.

I'm betting the bar code scanners will disappear. No matter how happy Abrams is with the movie, they're a minor aspect of the set decoration and I'm sure that Orci and Lindelof have not been enjoying the fannish "gotchas!" on that too much.

I was hoping for streamlined gooseneck holo-viewers...sort of a cross between Spock's and T'Pol's bridge viewers and the goosenecked interfaces seen in the TOS pilot episodes.

As long as they tone down the brightness and give the bridge a bit of a warmer feel I will be ok with it.

But the running lights are there! They only seem to appear when the ship is at red alert, though. Just watch the animated close-up of the viewscreen (at red alert) on the official site.

Never noticed that. Hmmmm.

Well, better part time than not there whatsoever.
