I like it but has anyone noticed that its a little bright. LOL Battle damage is goin 2 play havoc with that white LOL I also like the bridge layout captains chair and helm and nav in right place with i think science comms and engineering are in a small inner circle with them keeping the main characters close 2 each other. The outer circle duty stations are for the rest of the crew . ?

In real eastate it's always about 'location, location, location', in this context, however, I prefer to wait for 'context, context, context' before I dare to say 'It's too bright!' or 'It's too cluttered with useless technical gadgets!'
Still, my first impression is quite positive...

As with everything else I've seen, it looks like there's just too much superfluous nonsense stuck onto everything just to make it look cool and subjectively futuristic. It looks like they just kept going until they ran out of crazy glue. And what's up with the blue neon strip club lighting? To quote a word I've understandably seen a lot lately, iPrise indeed.

Since when has "superfluous nonsense" been part of Apple's design ethos?

A bridge is the context. What's going to change about it when seen in the film?

What I meant is something like 'Do they look like they need all the stuff on their stations when on duty or in battle?'. Is it, let's say, believable or 'realistic' within a sci-fi framework?

Finally, Chekov and Sulu each have their own staplers.
I suppose those things in the front are joysticks (for space combat?). Awesome.

Actually they are checkout scanners.

Until Lumberg comes by and takes them back...then moves Chekov and Sulu to the lower decks to take care of the Cardassian vole infestation.

I voted for the second choice.

Maybe it's not that bright in the movie?
It doesn't look practical, but we're talking about movies, so yep, I like it :)
Or maybe it should look like this one ?
Oh no! Too cluttered and futuristic looking:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:
I like it, don't quite love it however. Turn the lights down a smidge and take those random glass structures and those two workstations behind the captains chair then it would be a for sure love.
Agreed. This has been my exact assessment since the first photos were released.

For the record and to be fair and partial I said undecided...but I really wanted to say that I hated it...but I was mature (just this one time) and I said to myself c'mon the jury's out on this one.....

I just don't like it, it's too busy and bright and reminds me of a bar; plus there are two doors, which just isn't right IMO.

It's too "Apple Store." But we're stuck with it until at least the next movie. And we all know Enterprise bridges change between films! It's a federal law! ;)

Doesn't look a thing like an Apple store.

I notice that no one who's actually seen the film had a significant complaint about any of the sets - quite the opposite.

My company uses barcode scanners - those barcode scanners - all the time, so I can't really say I love it, because I can't help but notice them in every still they are in, and it really chafes my suspension of disbelief. But it's okay.

There is a lot of blue lighting on the bridge, yes. I wonder if it does what current US Navy bridges do: change color depending on alert status. Does all that blue lighting go to red when the ship goes on red alert? That would be really cool.

yes,it changes when on red alert

The red alert does look cool. :techman:
The bridge darkens a little bit, but not as far as Voyager's. The bridge looks a lot better not so white.

I have to say, I always thought Defiant and Voyager went ridiculously dark during Red Alert. It's a major combat or other serious operation, lets make it really dark so no-one can see what they're doing! :scream:

Now that I've seen the new Red Alert klaxon I like the bridge a little more. I'm still not totally sold by a longshot, but it's more appealing now that I've seen more of its features.
