Spoilers The Boys Season 1 - Amazon Prime Superhero Series Starring Karl Urban and Elizabeth Shue

Allowable collateral damage is 33 percent.

In a room with four civilian bystanders she is allowed to kill one person and quadrapalize another.

So Stormfront is a racist ? That might explain why she kept killing innocent POC in the apartment block when chasing after Kenji.

In the comics, Stormfront was an actual long-lived Nazi.

In the show, she's named herself after a literal Neo-Nazi web forum. Which should have been a dead giveaway.

Like the irony of casting a Jewish actress as a Neo-Nazi though.

Those 3 episodes were delicious.

This is extreme sarcasm right?

Highlander is such A scary individual.
I guess so, chopping off all those heads and living for centuries. But compared to Homelander I think I'd feel safer with Highlander.

Haven't read the comic, but from what I've read about it, I think the series has probably toned some things down for the better. Often when I hear about adaptations watering down the source it's not a good thing but I think here that it might make the material a bit more palatable.

Unfortunately, Garth Ennis is a writer whose really intriguing ideas are let down by his actual writing. What he means to be edgy or humorous tends to come across as juvenile and adolescent--and at times downright offensive. I read the first few issues of The Boys back when it came out and was struck by how misogynistic it was. For example, the initiation of Starlight just comes across as exploitation for giggles; whereas the series portrays it as tragic and does a pretty good job of showing the scars it leaves and Moriarty is a great actress as well.

I usually like to check out the source material when I love something as much as The Boys, but from everything I've heard, I have no interest in The Boys comic.

Ha! Stupid spell correct. :)

Colonel Klink in Hogan's Heroes was Jewish, his one condition for taking the role was that at no time was Klink to do anything positive or redeeming.

Wow, this was a great episode today, with some pretty big moments.
Butcher's reunion with his wife definitely did not play out the way I expected. It'll be interesting to see where they go with him now that she's more or less broken up with him, and he's resolved his main motivation up to this point.
MM, Hughie and Starlight's road trip gave us some nice moments. I can't remember, was this the first time Hughie and Annie had sex?
We got an interesting start to Stormfront's backstory, which looks like it will be pretty different from the comics' version. It looks like they're keeping the long life, but getting rid of the Nazi stuff, and just making her a good old fashioned American racist.
The stuff with Homelander and the shapeshifter was pretty fucked up, but that's normal for this show.

If I remember correctly, they had sex in season one. Yes, the last person you'd expect to watch The Boys, watched season one. On a phone, that is. I don't think I'm ready for season two yet. That has it's own thread.
