The Book Of Boba Fett

I came here to mention that there's now a making-of documentary about TBOBF on Disney+. In some ways, it's more entertaining than the show itself was, and there are some interesting revelations. The biggest one:
Mark Hamill actually was on set providing performance reference for Luke's scenes, playing opposite Rosario Dawson and Grogu, and coaching the actor providing Luke's on-camera performance (who looks enough like young Hamill that he could've just played it straight without the digital trickery and it would've been acceptable to me). I wonder why they didn't promote that more at the time. I had the impression that Hamill wasn't involved at all; I would've appreciated it more if I'd known he was so closely involved.

By the way, why hasn't this thread been posted in since episode 3 came out? Did we all just lose interest in talking about the show?

I think The Book Of Boba Fett is worth it for this unintentionally hilarious gunfight move:

I was hysterically laughing at that shit for a full 40 seconds.

Also it blows my fecking mind that the very sultry looking Ming-Na Wen and Jennifer Beals are both only SIX YEARS younger than when Peter Cushing was in ANH. You know, the somewhat withered, gnarly looking evil Imperial administrator dude who commanded the Death Star?!

It seems like 60 is the new 35. I'm not sure how much of that is due to improvements in cosmetic surgery over the decades, and how much is just that people in the past were prematurely aged by all the smoking and drinking and air pollution.

I think personal stress and issues play a role in how somebody grows up and ages - Peter Cushing had his wife die prematurely and that took a huge toll on him (then you had the late Carrie Fisher in her 30s/40s fall off a cliff with her mental health/addiction issues and that showed in the Sequels).

Well, it's common knowledge that Ming-Na Wen is drinking from the Fountain of Youth. ;)

And, yeah, that spin is ridiculous, but no more ridiculous than all of the spins Jedis do.
Also worth remembering that this guy isn't a hardened veteran gunfighter, he's a member of a poser street gang that spends every penny they make, borrow and steal on making their clothes, mods, and "slightly faster than jogging" speeder bikes look as bright and shiny as possible. Unnecessary flourishes are kind of a hallmark of posers, no? ;)

The production crew behind The Book Of Boba Fett didn't really know what it wanted to do, it felt half-baked, and got propped up by characters from The Mandalorian.

It's been 17 years since ROTS came out...

Hayden has practically doubled in age since principal photography ceased on ROTS and he still looks like he did in 2005, just with more crow's feet at 41.
