Excellent episode! I love the guys coming in and seeing Penny and Sheldon singing together. And then their little brainstorming session.

The Flash tag. I haven't laughed that hard in a LONNNNNG time! And the tie-in with the caffeine was just too damn perfect.

There has GOT to be an outtake reel somewhere, or at least on DVD's. I can only image the reaction when he first came out in costume -- especially from Kaley.

Oh man, this ep was awesome. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. Ok, it was probably last week when watching the previous ep. ;)

What's sad is that I've had that Planck's constant discussion with friends before. Although I'll throw in like "pi", "e", the mass of an electron, proton, etc. :p

Seriously, if there was any argument for Creationism, that's it.

The lasers gag was used to good effect, especially in the proposed Secret Laser Naked Chess game:

Leonard: "Yeah, but most of the girls who we could get to play that -- you really don't want to see naked!"

Howard: "Don't underestimate me!"

:guffaw:

And Sheldon's caffeine gag: "All right, I'll have coffee, but if this leads to barbituates and hallucinogens, you'll answer to my mother!"

By far the best comedy on TV in years...and this show has the best Vulcan since spock...SHELDON!!!

Rob

I caught a re-run last night of the episode where Sheldon is trying to "fix" Leonard's relationship with Stephanie, and he refers to her as the "Bones" of their landing party, then turns to her and gives her a little Vulcan wave.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to Stephanie? Her relationship with Leonard didn't end, but she's not been in any episodes since. Is she due to return at any point, or are they just quietly phasing out that relationship and never speaking of it again?

She's gone...But I think the producers are sensing what my wife and I are; Sheldon/Penny. They will never pair them up, for to do so would ruin a good thing. but those two have the best 'chemestry' on the show, the way they fight back and forth. My favorite episodes usually are ones where those two engage each other...

That sucks that Stephanie wont be back. Is that just a simple case of Sarah Rue having other commitments, or did the writers/producers just think that her and Leonard didn't work?

And I agree about Sheldon/Penny. I've been thinking they'd make an interesting couple for a while now, but the latest episode seemed to cement that in my mind quite a bit.

My son, five years old, loved when Sheldon came out in his FLASH outfit...I love to look at the background on that show to spot comic-books or super hero figures...

And all the inside TREK stuff is fun when it pops up. Especially when they bickered over what was a better movie; nemesis or star trek V...we all know the answer to that one, and sheldon did too..STAR TREK V of course...

Actually, to be a bit nitpicky, they were arguing about which film was the worst; Star Trek The Motion Picture, or Star Trek V - Sheldon thought that TMP was infinitely worse than STV. I loved how, at the end of the argument, Sheldon asks Raj to at least acknowledge that The Voyage Home was arguably the best Trek film, to which Kuthrapali replies; "I have three words for you; Wrath. Of. Kahn."

I did notice that Sarah Rue's character had disappeared. Did they make any mention of it at all? I honestly can't remember. I'm glad she's gone because I didn't really like her character much, but I wish they would give a good explanation for it.

Not really. She last appeared in episode 2x10, where Leonard decided that their relationship was moving too fast. At the end of the episode, Leonard texts her to say they need to slow down, and then laments to Raj and Wolowitz that he's "never getting sex again". A moment letter his phone beeps, he reads the text then turns to the gang and says "apparently I am" before running out of the canteen.

That's the last time Stephanie appeared, or was mentioned on the show.

I only caught up with the episode last night on the DVR, but damn if that wasn't the funniest one so far.

"Not being condescending was NOT part of the original agreement". I love this show. :)
