The purpose of this thread is for people to compare two very similar products such as

A movie and a remake
Two versions of the same same song
Two photos you have taken of the same place
Two similar drinks (such as Pepsi and Coke)
Two actors in a similar role
Two famous painting of the same topic

etc, etc and for you and others to decide which of the two they think is the best

please don't post really large photos. The next person to post two things number them as Number 2) so that it is easy for people to answer each entry

Number 1) is the song "Jump in my Car'

I much prefer the Ted Mulry version.

I enjoy watching the BBC's Pride & Prejudice movies - I believe they were originally a mini-series starring Colin Firth. I also enjoy the newer, muuuch shorter version with Keira Knightly.

Both take liberties with the book - some for the sake of time or very likely budgetary concerns - or to just make it more accessible.

The newer version is definitly prettier, and yet earthier at the same time; the BBC version "feels" more Briitsh if that can even be quantified. I have never been to England, fwiw.

If I could only have one I'd go with the BBC version simply because it has more time to squash more into it.

I don't think I have ever watched a Pride & Prejudice movie. Nor, I must admit, have I read the book.

I generally like British versions of shows than American remakes. For example I preferred Porridge to On the Rocks, and Steptoe and Son to Sanford and Son. The one exception to this is I thought that the American version of Queer as Folk was much better than the original British version.
