The best episode of Voyager - Part Three

BlueStuff

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
Okay Trek fans, this game was successful on the TNG and DS9 boards, and I hope it prospers here as well. Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Not a very accurate way of determining the best episode, but a fun game nonetheless. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

I'm gonna have to kick out Rise. It's a rather forgettable episode, with cheesy lines ("He had to return to the surface") and it's a pretty much one-trick episode. The visual effects were obvious computer graphics. And I don't quite buy Tuvok humouring Neelix the way he does.

Going to remove Favorite Son. I actually will be watching this episode again soon but I actually don't remember it that much other than it having the Terminator 3 chick and being absolutely terrible.

Removed The Chute. I already hate the fact that in I'm going to have watch again soon, since my gf and I are watching Voyager episode by episode.

Sacred Ground
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Warlord
The Q and the Grey
Macrocosm
Fair Trade
Alter Ego
Blood Fever

Removing Coda - bad, bad, bad! Awful story, meaningless flashbacks, ridiculous father angle, etc. And Janeway's "Go back to hell, coward!" is one of the most contrived lines I've heard on Trek.

Flashback
The Swarm
Remember
Sacred Ground
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Warlord
The Q and the Grey
Macrocosm
Fair Trade
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity
Darkling

Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario

Removing Basics II - definitely the worst two-parter of the series... as I said when I eliminated part 1, the only redeeming quality is the end of the Kazons in this series...

The Swarm
Remember
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Warlord
The Q and the Grey
Macrocosm
Fair Trade
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity

Time to kick Sacred Ground. I make no secret of my dislike for Kes, and the forced self-reflection trip for Janeway didn't help the episode any.

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Warlord
The Q and the Grey
Macrocosm
Fair Trade
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity
Darkling

Bye, bye Remember, because you were ironically a very dull and forgettable episode.

Future's End (II)
The Q and the Grey
Macrocosm
Fair Trade
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity
Darkling
Before and After

Bye, bye Warlord. I suffered through this once, and it is the only one I've never wanted to see again.

Still trying to recover from the fact that Projections came in first in season 2. :wtf:

Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Macrocosm
Fair Trade
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity
Darkling

The Q and the Grey - the less said about Q on VOY, the better. Especially when it concerns this episode.

Bye, bye Remember, because you were ironically a very dull and forgettable episode.

*snief* One of my favourite episodes of the whole series...

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Macrocosm
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity
Darkling
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario

Removing Fair Trade - boring, boring, boring...

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Macrocosm
Alter Ego
Blood Fever
Unity
Before and After

Darkling. Boring, predictable plot.

(And worse than Rise and Favourite Son, imo)

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Macrocosm
Alter Ego
Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario
Scorpion (I)

Saying goodbye to "Blood Fever." The mate-or-die pon farr is something I just can't dig about Vulcan culture.

Bye, bye Remember, because you were ironically a very dull and forgettable episode.

Damn, probably one of my Top 5 VOY episodes. Was rooting for it to win this season, though I know character episodes are always underdogs.

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Alter Ego
Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario
Scorpion (I)

Removing Macrocosm - hilariously stupid, with strangely bad special effects.

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)
Future's End (II)
Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario
Scorpion (I)

Removing Alter Ego - so boring I can't even remember what it was about...

Flashback
The Swarm
Future's End (I)

Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario
Scorpion (I)

So hard to choose beteween Futures End and Distance Origin.
I'm Removing Futures End II For doing Time Travel and a thoroughly predictable and unsatisfying conclusion.

Flashback
Future's End (I)
Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario
Scorpion (I)

Goodbye The Swarm, so boring I fell asleep three times trying to watch it

Future's End (I)
Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario
Scorpion (I)

Goodbye to Flashback. DS9 was clearly blessed with the superior 30th anniversary tribute episode.

Future's End (I)
Unity
Before and After
Distant Origin
Displaced
Worst Case Scenario

Say Goodbye to Scorpion (I). Just for being part of another flop of a Resolution.
