The best episode of TNG - Part Three

Okay Trek fans, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations before you eliminate another one. Not a very accurate way of determining the best episode, but a fun game nonetheless. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Ooh, Season Three's difficult. To be honest I struggle to find an episode I really dislike. So I'm taking out Manage a Troi because off the top of my head it's the one I like the least. That said, it has it's fun moments, but there are far better episodes this season.

It's good to see that Measure won season two after the debacle that led to the travesty that is Arsenal winning season one. ;)

Dumping The Price. Too soapy, the guest actor was rather smarmy, and yet Troi falls for him anyway. Shoveling some serious dull in this one

Tiberius: Perhaps, but I think Yesterday's Enterprise has a reasonable chance. In any case, Evolution gets dropped. I just found that one to be really boring, not even Dr Kelso could save it.

A close call, but Booby Trap is out for me. Too talky, too "Geordi", and not that exciting, quite simply.

This one is hard for me, because it has been a long time since I watched much of season three, and ages since I saw an episode from that year that I disliked. I will eliminate Captain's Holiday. It wasn't too bad, but I seem to remember thinking the Ferengi was annoying.

Removing The High Ground. Way too much of Crusher's righteousness, in an otherwise plodding episode

Is there going to be a finalist round, with the seven seasons' top placers? If so, it should probably include the second place finishers too, because then there will be a bigger selection in that round :)

I was going to do things a little differently in the Final round, since as you say it would be pretty short with only seven. I thought perhaps we'd do a type of elimination thing, where you give one point to your least favorite episode remaining. When an episode reaches a certain number, say 3 or 5, it's gone. Then a new round begins and the numbers are reset. I guess, with feedback from users, I'll have to figure out the best way to do the Final round.

Removing Transfigurations. Simply because the concept was old when The Original Series did it and it's not a particularly memorable episode.

The defector. I mean, it's got a good actor in it, but the plot seems old, and kinda predictable...

Removed The Hunted. I would have also removed The High Ground (already dropped). I dislike both of these episodes because TNG does the terrorist/freedom fighter characters very badly. Also, in The Hunted, during Danar's escape from the Enterprise, I just can't get past him knocking a security guy unconscious, tapping his combadge, and saying "drop forcefield on deck 36" and either a computer or crewmember obediently does so.

Dumping The Price. Too soapy, the guest actor was rather smarmy, and yet Troi falls for him anyway. Shoveling some serious dull in this one
Devinani Ral is part of an exclusive list of sci-fi characters that I want to see die horribly on screen. This is the one of few episodes that make me appreciate Riker. While I think it's cool to pick on Riker as I do it all the time, next to Riker, Devinani Ral looked like a horrible, horrible tool both in the negotiation department and the Troi department.

Taking out A Matter of Perspective. I'm surprised it's lasted this long, it's probably my least favourite episode of the season. Boring and hammy.
